Barska 7x50 Escape Binoculars Blackcombine a moderate magnification and oversized objectives to produce an optic ideally suited to perform in challenging lighting conditions. The large lenses draw in copious amounts of light while the low power ensures wide exit pupils that completely cover fully dilated pupils in low-light conditions such as at dawn or dusk, and under heavy canopies. Complementing these performance features are antireflection fully coated optics and a traditional Porro prism optical path, which all work together to produce bright and clear high-contrast views with accurate color rendition and a rich depth a field.

To help offset the weight of the large objectives, the Escape chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armor. For long glassing sessions or to reduce arm fatigue common with larger-objective binoculars, they are tripod mountable with an optional adapter. Fold-down rubber eyecups mold themselves to the user's eye sockets to block stray peripheral light for brighter views without intrusive side glare, and its large focusing wheel is highly textured to make precision focusing fast and easy.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello, It looks to me like the binoculars are in use. What is his condition? Is it almost new or in good or average condition? Are there any pictures of him? I need clarification. Thank you.

A: The Steiner 7x50 Military/Marine Binoculars are new. All items are new unless specifically stated otherwise.

Q: 2. Why do specs of the Nikon 7x50 OceanPro Binoculars show the need for batteries?

A: I have notified the B&H web content team. No batteries required for this model only the model with a digital compass.

Q: 3. Do these binoculars come with a case, neck strap and lens/eyepiece covers?

A: To the best of my recollection, all of these items are included with these binoculars. The case, however, is only thin plastic and only provides dust and water spray protection, not bump and drop protection. Also, while these binos have a terrific wide field, they also have a 7.14 mm exit pupil. If your eye pupil doesn't open this wide, some of the light coming in the objectives will be wasted. Binos with this large an exit pupil are best used by people younger than 40 years old.

Q: 4. Where is this binoculars made in?

A: They are made in China.

Q: 5. The product looks and feels great. But I have no idea how to work everything because the generic manual is useless. For example, there IS no center focus wheel, there IS no zoom lever, there ARE no fold down/twist up/pull up eyecups, just standard rubber cups, non-adjustable. So I have no info on how to connect the strap, how to put in the batteries, how to know if there is a zoom, etc. I'll mess with it until I figure it out, but the correct manual would be great. Is there a more comprehensive one on line?

A: I haven't seen any better instructions on line. Just adjust the 2 individual eye cups to your liking and they seem to focus automatically from there. Battery is near right ring finger as you hold the binoculars. Strap holes are near each thumb as you hold the binoculars. Hope this helps.

Q: 6. I can not figure out which way the batteries go in...or what size (LR43/LR44). Batteries didn't come with mine....or even what they are for ?

A: The model takes 2 x LR43 1.5V Batteries, which should have been included in the Box. It is for the Compass/Rangefinder.

Q: 7. Are you limited by the eye cups not being able to twist into multiple heights? Any black outs for eye relief?

A: I do not believe you will have any issues. However if you do wear Glasses it might be an issue. I do recommend maybe going with a Model that have Eyecup's that can twist down, or fold down. Like a Steiner Model would work well.

Q: 8. What size battery does this take

A: 2 LR44 batteries

Q: 9. Do you sell replacement compass' as mine has cracked and is leaking?

A: Unfortunately we dont. The best thing to do is to contact Barska directly. Here is their contact information. a href= http://www.barska.com/Products-Binoculars.html target= _blank http://www.barska.com/Products-Binoculars.html/a phone / 888 666 6769. They should be able to help you.

Q: 10. Are these stabilizing binoculars ?

A: No.

[7x] I often go to Harvard's Arboretum, climb a hill far from the crowded walkways and wait about 15 minutes. If I remain still, the critters come out again and I can get excellent views of their daily lives. Birds, such as Cardinals and Blue Jays have vivid colors, which come through beautifully. Chipmunks, squirrels and other ground/tree dwellers often unseen in their normal habitats are a joy to watch. I can almost count the teeth as chipmunks gnaw on various items. I would recommend these binoculars for those who enjoy nature and wild life, seashores, etc. I was amazed when I took a peek at one of the islands in Boston Harbor, and found out there was a smaller one just to the North that I had not seen. To top it all off, on the horizon, I could see a container-ship heading out to sea, which was completely out of my normal scope of vision, but easily seen using the binoculars.
