Q: 2. What is the standard exposure time for this paper in strong sunlight please?

A: It really depends how strong the sun is outside. I used around 7 minutes. Try doing tests strips on smaller sheets of the cyanotype paper (do not cut the paper in direct light). Remember, the more time in the sun, the image becomes darker. Too much sun will leave you with just blue paper.

Q: 3. How long is this paper good for once opened?

A: Cyanotype Paper can last quite long time, many years as long as the area is free of chemical fumes in the environment. Fading Images can be restored to original just by re exposing to light. Wikipedia has quite a bit of information and references. A worth while read.

Q: 4. What kind of resolution can you get from using a 5 x 7 B&W negative on this shirt?

A: The shirt does not have resolution. The quality of the image the shirt can produce would depend on the quality of the negative.

Q: 5. What are the washing instructions?

A: The manufacture says, Cyanotype Store Cyanotype T-Shirt (Adult Large, White) is prewashed. I would wash it on cold or maybe warm water. It should be stable at any temperature really after it was washed the first time. Cyanotype is stable

Q: 6. Can the water be used to wash out the paper go down the drain? Can I use a public waterway to wash out the cyanotype or is it toxic?

A: The Cyanotype Store Cyanotype Paper uses chemical that have a lower toxicity compared to other photographic methods. It is not poisonous, however, it is an irritant to the skin and eyes. It is one of the safest of all of the chemical photographic processes.

A: First of all I never bought the product and secondly why doesn't the the person go to the B&H webpage and look for the product

A: No, instructions are not included. I got instructions from my Photography professor.

A: According to the information in our system, provided to us by MultiTone, this paper is made in China.

A: As a variable-contrast paper, it is capable of delivering grades 1 through 4 with the appropriate filters.

[8.5 x 8 x 0.3"] This is best done on a very sunny day. The more time you leave it, the better. The dark blue one was out for 20 minutes in the afternoon sun and the lighter one was only out for 10 mins late evening. I rinsed with water then dipped in hydrogen peroxide. Great activity to do with the kids 5

[8.5 x 8 x 0.3"] This is a very convenient way of creating cyanotypes. The paper is precoated so all you do is expose and sunlight and rinse in water. You’ll need to experiment with exposure times. 5
