A: I would imagine that it is the same as your original lens cap. I purchased this as a replacement and have not had any difficulty with it staying on the lens. There are some aftermarket lens caps. I tried one aftermarket lens cap, found it difficult to grab it with my fingers, so I went back to the Zeiss and it seems to work fine. Good luck. One last thought if you are using a filter, perhaps that changes the way in which the lens cap wra if you are using a filter, perhaps that changes the way in which the lens cap grabs.

[Snap-On] I lost the cap to my Zeiss Toiut 1.8/32 and boy, that was a $ mistake. I can attest to the quality of this lens cap though. It is a very tight fit and it looks pretty schnazzy too. My best advice is don't lose your lens cap. 5
