The chrome LATCH LAKE RB2200 RetroBoom Telescoping Boom Arm Chromefrom LATCH LAKE RB2200 RetroBoom Telescoping Boom Arm Chromeis for use with mic stands. It can adjust from 45.5 to 84.0" in length and is built with an all-steel construction. The boom arm has standard 5/8"-27 threads. A Spin Grip microphone mount is not included (sold separately). The boom arm is built with a 7 lb counterweight.

A: The LATCH LAKE RB2200AT boom is not compatible with Atlas Sound MS series stands given the stands are 5/8 -27 male, and the RB2200AT is 7/8 -27 Threads.

Q: 2. What is the maximum amount of weight the device wilB support before it begins to slip around the ball ?

A: This is a very strong system, it hold all size iPads with no problem. You will be surprised on how strong this is.

A: Its the entire length of the boom (Including the foam grip at the end), not just the part that extends from the pivot point.

Q: 4. Will this boom work with a Impact Heavy-Duty Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 9.5')?

A: You shouldn't have have any issues.. Given the stand has a max weight of 22lbs, I would absolutely have a couple of sandbags on the legs..

Q: 5. How much weight can this boom arm support with some extension and inclination? I would like to lift an Elinchrom ELC Pro HD 1000 light and a light modifier above my subject's head and would like to know if this boom arm can support the light whilst inclined and extended. Thanks!

A: If you ad a weight to the back of the boom arm, it should hold the light.

A: Yes, the Impact 86" Boom Arm is able to be pointed straight up.

Q: 7. Can I attach a bowen mount to this?

A: A Bowens monolight can attach via its stand adapter to the 5/8" stud on the end of this boom.

Q: 8. Is it possible to angle the boom straight up in the air, if you needed more height, but wanted the option of sometimes using the boom arm?

[Steel] Latch Lake is simply the best. You should be aware however that if you order this arm to be mounted on a non-Latch Lake stand, you will need to also purchase the "thread extender." It will be useless without it. 5

[Steel] This mic stand is heavy but it feels like it will last forever! We bought a couple earlier this year and just added a few more to the studio because of how reliable and sturdy they are. They seem to be able to hold just about any sort of mic or piece of equipment we've tried putting on it with no question it would remain stable and strong. Highly recommend, especially for permanent setups! 5

[Steel] I tend to make films on the go, so I attach this to a small backpack or in a suitcase. It is lightweight and does the trick. No, it is not indestructible and has plastic knobs...but it also weighs nothing and can hold a Sennheiser Mkh-416 (for example) with no problem. 5

[Steel] Extremely useful with iPad for gigs. I use Set List Maker on a 2018 iPad. I recommend attaching the ferro- magnetic plate to a hard plastic cover, rather than to the device itself. 5

[Steel] I recently bought an AEA R44 which is a HEAVY mic. Online forums recommended stands by Latch Lake. Well worth the price. i did some tests of the stand prior to use and it's solid as a rock! And the folks at B and H were of course solid professionals as always! 5

[Steel] I have owned stands from K&M and Triad Orbit. K&M best stand did not last long and while in use wiggled too much. Triad tries to do many things and as a result, is not great at anything and to boot is frustrating to use. Latch Lake is much more stable and easier to use, as it is specifically built as a Microphone stand. It is just a joy to work with and I get more stable and much better recordings with it. 5
