The black LATCH LAKE RB2200AT RetroBoom Telescoping Boom Arm Blackfrom LATCH LAKE RB2200AT RetroBoom Telescoping Boom Arm Blackis for use with the retro Atlas mic stands. It can adjust from 45.5 to 94" in length and is built with an all-steel construction. The boom arm has 7/8"-27 threads and a 7 lb counterweight. A Spin Grip microphone mount is available (sold separately).

A: You will need an adapter bushing (B&H # AUADCOMBOS) to connect the two. The boom has 5/8 female threads and your light stand probably has either 1/4 or 3/8 male threads.

A: Yes, the Auray Telescoping Boom Arm Mic Stand with Table Clamp Mount can be unscrewed from the stem that attaches to the clamp and then used with a standard microphone stand. The stem can also be removed from the clamp by loosening the tension screw on the top of the clamp.

A: No. You just unscrew the included mic clip and screw on the MV7.

A: Yes. These two items are compatible. Be aware of the microphone and shock-mount weight.

[7/8"-27 threads] Latch Lake is simply the best. You should be aware however that if you order this arm to be mounted on a non-Latch Lake stand, you will need to also purchase the "thread extender." It will be useless without it. 5

[7/8"-27 threads] We have two of these and maybe another 4 or 5 K&M mic stands. Love them all, worth the money. We hung these from the ceiling via threaded rod to support a couple of shotgun mics in our little video studio. We'd been using lav mics, but they're a pain, so we thought a couple of shotguns that could be permanently hung from the ceiling would be the thing to try. But we needed to be able to move the mics where we needed them, and that's where these booms came in. They work like a charm! Easy to balance, so that even at full extension, they hang level, and the threaded rods they hang from hang straight down. Just what we needed. 5

[7/8"-27 threads] We do a lot of interviews for our documentaries and this mic stand is just the ticket. Strong, sturdy and sensibly designed, it gives me a lot of confidence when we set up that at least we don't have to worry about it. Once you handle it and set it up, you'll know why it cost a little more. My son is always telling me to buy nice or buy twice. I'm sure this stand will be around for a few generations. It's well worth the investment. 5

[7/8"-27 threads] A nice, low cost unit. Its a light weight unit that's good for traditional mics that are also reasonable weight (SM57/58, Audix OM2, etc). I plan to purchase a few more. 5

[7/8"-27 threads] Can't imagine why would anybody want to spend 5 - 10 times more for the same product. It is a commodity, like a door stopper. Anything would do the job. Then again, not being a pro I might not appreciate some fine nuances. For me, it does everything I need it to do. 5
