The chrome LATCH LAKE RB2200AT RetroBoom Telescoping Boom Arm Chromefrom LATCH LAKE RB2200AT RetroBoom Telescoping Boom Arm Chromeis for use with the retro Atlas mic stands. It can adjust from 45.5 to 94" in length and is built with an all-steel construction. The boom arm has 7/8"-27 threads and a 7 lb counterweight. A: Not sure what the limits are but I have a 8lbs light and 55 inch octabox and it holds well at 45degrees extended 2/3 out and 1/3 on the counterweight (2 sandbags). YMMV.I''m more wary of the vertical light stand stud that this sits on.

A: If you ad a weight to the back of the boom arm, it should hold the light.

[7/8"-27 threads] This stand is just at a completely different level of polish than any other I've used. The clamping mechanisms are intense and solid - and highly adjustable - and the base ensures that it feels really secure. My only issue so far is getting a feel for how tight to adjust the various clamps, since I don't want to overtighten anything. But having used this stand, I don't know how I would go back to anything else... 5

[7/8"-27 threads] I tend to make films on the go, so I attach this to a small backpack or in a suitcase. It is lightweight and does the trick. No, it is not indestructible and has plastic knobs...but it also weighs nothing and can hold a Sennheiser Mkh-416 (for example) with no problem. 5
