Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it clamp strongly enough to not swing around in a slight wind with a 48x72 reflector/diffuser?

A: The unit I received certainly clamps strong enough to prevent rotation, however, at 24 Sq. ft. of surface area on this sail , I imagine that even a slight breeze would create a concern of tipping despite sand bags

Q: 2. I shoot film exclusively. Will this filter work with film?

A: Yes Kolari Vision Infrared Lens Filter (46mm, 850nm) is compatible with film cameras.

Q: 3. Does this work with 2.5 gbe needed for the UniFi 7 Pro?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks U-POE-AT PoE+ Adapter (BH # UBUPOEAT) will power the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U7 Pro Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point (BH # UBU7PROUS). It features the required 802.3at (PoE+ 30 W) via the RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port.

Q: 4. What is the collapsed size of this kit?

A: The collapsed size measures approximately 17 in diameter x 4 inches thick.

Q: 5. Will this work with a PTZ camera or an audio controller that uses POE+?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks U-POE-AT PoE+ Adapter is designed to power PoE devices from Ubiquiti specifically. The manufacturer does not advise using this with non-Ubiquiti products, as it may not function correctly.

Q: 6. What is the purpose/use for the end opposite of the one with the standard 5/8" spigot?

A: It can be used for some devices that use a 3/8 stud.

Q: 7. Is the rubber wrapped around the clamp?

A: Yes.

Q: 8. Can the reflector be tilted at an angle?

A: Yes it pivot

Q: 9. Will the Westcott Illuminator Arm Extreme fit a Promaster Deluxe Light Stand LS-2n?

A: Yes, the ball-joint mount will fit any 5/8" standard dia. light stand shaft, which the Promaster has. It does not attach to the threaded stud, but slips over it and is secured by a setscrew on the collar.

Q: 10. Will a .56 opening trigger stand clamp fit on this reflector?

A: Not certain what that is. There is an arm that will work with this reflector. a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1086196-REG/westcott_5571_illuminator_reflector_arm.html target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1086196-REG/westcott_5571_illuminator_reflector_arm.html/a

[13.2 lb / 6 kg] Using this to light up the side yard all the way to the back fence, about 90 feet. Just like in Iluminar's youtube videos this thing throws IR light everywhere. I love that a separate camera in a opposite corner that just sees the backyard sees the massive amount of IR light that it puts out. I have this model and the IR148 both are built solid after a year later still waterproof and working fine.

[1988' / 606 m] It was a piece of cake to attach this to my network.

[138 W] Added this for my License Plate Camera and it is better than expected with a focused high intensity IR light that reflects off of plates making all plates at night easily readable. See attached photos and note emitters are red and visible just hard to photograph.

Also have 2 other Axton IR emitters for the front yard that replaced some cheap IR emitters. The difference in coverage, distance and even spread is night and day.

[Triple] I've had a few of these scattered about the property for a couple years now. Throws a lot of IR and have been flawless. Beam pattern, IR power, and photocell sensitivity are adjustable.

[Cat 5 cable] Well-built and surprisingly bright for a short range illuminator.
My only gripe is the user manual I received, it came in every language except English. I would have preferred more technical information about optimum placement and more intelligible graphs for the various diffusers. Even so, not a big issue. A couple minutes of trial and error and you'll have the neighborhood lit up nicely. Definitely recommend.

[1988' / 606 m] I did quite a bit of research before making this purchase.

I used NVGs and other night vision devices when I was in the U.S. Army. The Axton products are military grade and built like a tank with a lifetime warranty to boot.

Plus, they provide world-class customer service. I'm very pleased with my purchase and it is worth every penny.

[138 W] Bought 2 after other cheaper illuminators were low-light. THey run off a 12 V 7AH battery and the beam means they illuminate objects within 50 ft or more!
