Combining a powerful ranging tool with an all-weather optic, the Nikon 10x42 LaserForce Rangefinder Binocularsis a multi-tasker that will be a valuable addition to your hunting kit. The integrated rangefinder measures distances from 10 to 1900 yards in less than a second, and displays it directly in your line of sight. A built-in inclinometer measures the relative angle to your target and can calculate an adjusted distance to increase your shot precision. To range a single subject the LaserForce has a spot feature, and for moving targets or to range multiple targets quickly, simply hold the laser button down for continuous measurements.

Optically, the LaserForce is configured with the popular combination of 10x magnification and 42mm objectives. This combination allows you to make detailed observations at distance with competent low-light capability, without being too large and bulky. Equipped with lead and arsenic-free extra low-dispersion (ED) glass elements and anti-reflection multi-coatings on all lens surfaces, images are crisp and clear with accurate color rendition and increased contrast. A long eye relief, comfortable exit pupil, and wide viewing angle provide an easy and immersive observational experience.

Engineered to survive in extreme conditions, the LaserForce has a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis that is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof. The optical tubes are wrapped in protective rubberized armoring that provides a slip-resistant grip, especially in cold and wet weather. For long days in the field, the LaserForce can be tripod mounted with an optional adapter to reduce arm fatigue or to leave both hands free, and a large, knurled center focus wheel is easy to manipulate even while wearing gloves.

Q: 1. Do these binoculars have a built in camera? That is how they are listed on line.

A: The Nikon PROSTAFF P3 10x42 Binoculars BH #NI10X42P3 • MFR #16777 DO NOT have a built in camera. I found no description of a camera on the B&H website.

Q: 2. Is this Nikon 10x42 Aculon A211 Binocular "Tripod Mountable"?

A: Yes, its 100 % compatible.

Q: 3. Hi. Are these manufactured in China. If so, are there any decent binoculars (10 x 42) of any brand not made in China?

A: The country of origin for the Nikon 10x42 Monarch M7 Binoculars BH #NI10X42MM7B • MFR #16766 is China. All Steiner binoculars are made in Germany. All Swarovski binoculars are made in Austria. All Leica binoculars are made in Portugal.

Q: 4. what is the difference between the Nikon 10 x 42 Monarch M7 and the HG beside the price?

A: The New Monarch HG Binoculars, feature, Extra-low dispersion glass. (reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations for increased contrast and improved color rendition and sharpness), giving you much better low light performance than the Nikon 10 x 42 Monarch M7.

Q: 5. Does Leica still manufacture their binocs in Germany? No Chinese stuff!

A: Leica currently manufacturers their sport optics products, including the Geovid R Rangefinder Binoculars, in Portugal.

Q: 8. The 'bionic' portion of this unit, would it be comparable most to the Monarch 5, 6 or 7 models?

A: Not really it's a range finder first and foremost. Not a binocular they turned into a range finder. Optically, the Laser Force is configured with the popular combination of 10x magnification and 42mm objectives. That's about as close to Monarch as it gets.

Q: 9. Are an Eyepiece Cap, Objective Lens Caps, Case, and Neck Strap (other than the free harness) included, as they are by Nikon?

A: The Nikon PROSTAFF P7 10x42 Binoculars come with, Neck Strap, Eyepiece Lens Cover, 2 x Objective Lens Covers and a Carrying Case.

[3.065 lb] Another great shopping experience with B&H Photo. The Nikon Monarch HG binoculars have amazing clarity, detail and depth of view. They are also the lightest in their class.
The B&H Photo Sales Representative was very competent, friendly and helpful. Pleasure dealing with B&H Photo.

[42 mm] After much research my wife and I bought these Nikons and we are very happy with them. I say we because our goal was to end up with two pairs of binoculars that compliment each other and I think we achieved that goal. Our other pair are our newly bought Vortex Razor UHD's 10x42. The UHD's are larger, heavier, with more turns of the focus ring from closeup to infinity, but with closer focus, wider apparent field, a generally superior optical experience (with caveats, see below), and cost $500 more. The Monarch HG's are considerably lighter, smaller, and quicker focus with a big easy-to-turn focus wheel (definitely an issue with fast moving birds). They are optically satisfying but relative to the UHD's the field appears vignetted with greater sharpness falloff; the wide field is there but it is not the edge to edge clear view offered by the UHD's. That said the sweet spot at the center of the Nikons is slightly crisper than the UHD's. So these two binoculars offer us options. The HG's are bit finicky to get used to, you must center your eyes precisely to enjoy the wide field, but now we have gotten used to that and it is a zero issue in use. Going out alone each of us can choose light and nimble (the HG's) or heavy and optically superior (the UHD's), together we trade back and forth depending on preferences (close focus, super-sharp center, etc.). We settled on the Nikons after trying a pair of Leica 10x32 Trinovid HD's, which we rejected because of a kind of cloudy flare-like issue that made for inferior viewing in even the best of conditions. se.

[4.2 mm] Was waiting to afford this set ip for years, Nice combo package, high quality glass and range finder. Used them on a deer hunt last year in temps from 15 deg F to the mid 50’s F, crystal clear images in low light and mid day. LRF is accurate. In a overcast low light condition I could tell the difference between a young doe and a button/nubbin buck at over 250 yds. The detail on the wild turkeys at over 200yds was incredible. Yes, it was money well spent

[42 mm] Its a fantastic product in a good range of price. It seems to be very strong and durable, although just time will show it. The only observation is about the clarity of the lens. I think the magnification of 10x is too much for 42 mm. The images keeps a bit darker than in binoculars with 8x. For birding it makes diference.

[42 mm] I did a ton of research and bought 5 different models and this was the winner. After using it a couple weeks, I'm very satisfied with it.

The runner up was the Zeiss Conquest HD, which had a slightly better, brighter image. The Nikon had quite a bit better housing though. You can see my review of the Zeiss for additional notes.

My only issue with this is the rainguard covers (the rubber caps for the eye pieces). They would seem to be highly protective because they go deeper down the sides of the eye pieces, but this makes them extremely difficult to take on and off, you end up having to take each side off one at a time and wrestling and twisting them, which twists the eye cup up a lot of times. Other than that, no complains.

I also purchased some clips called Peak Design Anchor links which you can fasten onto the neck strap and the loops on the side of the binoculars so that you can take the neck strap on and off quickly. This is convenient for times you don't want to use the neck strap.

The models I tested:
1. Nikon Monarch HG - favorite overall
2. Zeiss Conquest HD - best image, housing not as good though
3. Nikon Monarch 7 - Great image, just fuzzier at the edges than the top 2
4. Vortex Viper - Focus knob was extremely difficult to turn
5. Nikon Monarch 5 - similar to Monarch 5 but with much narrower field of view

[1x CR2 Lithium] Am glad I finally got these, been wanting a set like this for years, simple to use, Great you have a range finder and binos in one package, less stuff to carry and keep up with. Optics are crystal clear, can definitely see the difference in these over my older Steiner 10x42 predators, its real close; but you can tell. Eyes do not feel strained after hours of glassing like they would with lesser quality glass. Worth the extra money so if you are on the fence go ahead and get them. Only one pair of glass better than these and I should have bought them years ago while they were still below $2K.

[4.2 mm] The only complaint is the manual is terrible they don't explain clearly how the strap goes on. Also very small print not good for the over 50 crowd.

[10x] So many high end binoculars are so heavy that it is hard to lug them around all day. I love these!! I took off the lens covers and replaced them with the provided rings. Great optics. I compared them with my old Leica 7x42 and they seem similar in light gathering etc.
