Q: 9. Looking for glasses for short distances. To be used while sitting watching TV from about 8 feet?

A: Unfortunately these kinds of binoculars, and glasses really wouldn't be ideal for viewing a TV. My apologies.

Q: 10. I'm considering these for my Mom. She wanted some theater glasses stronger than normal. Are these too big to fit into an evening or small purse and/or do you know if they come with a cord or anything to go around the neck? Any other items you recommend I buy along with these?

A: My Mom likes hers. They are approximately 4.5 x 2.75 when opened up, and the barrels are 1.75 at their beltline. The bag they travel in is 4.5 x 6 when laid flat. I don't think there was a chain, but we got a matching brass chain. So they are very nice opera glasses, stronger than the usual glasses. One thing, we had to put a little bit of medium thread lock on the set screw to keep it from working loose--easily done. Can't think of any other accessories that would be needed.

[Center focus] Wanted a nice pair of opera glasses (for the opera, actually) and wanted something very traditional and stylish. These hit the mark, and the optics are very good as well. Can't wait for the shut-downs to lift so I can actually use them.

[0.3 lb] Very useful for going to opera or plays. Feel like you're right up on stage. Handle needs to be tightened a little is my only complaint.

[Center focus] I have a sister who has been looking for opera glasses for a very long time and when I came across this pair I decided to order them going they would be the perfect birthday present. They arrived quickly, were well protected and look very sturdy. The only negative thing I have to say about them was the length of the handle and that's just because I was thinking in my head out would be longer.Though now thinking about it they would probably come up to the perfect angle for viewing. Overall I'm impressed.
