[24.15 lb] This copy stand with lights was easy to put together, and is VERY easy to use. It is very stable and very well built. I do recommend this copy stand!

[24.15 lb] I'm using a fairly heavy combo of a Canon C-300 with a Sigma 18-35mm lens and a Glidegear TMP - 750 teleprompter. That's just under 20 lbs. The Manfrotto head I was using tended to tilt forward or backward with the weight when locked down. The Smith Victor doesn't. I also like the dual control arms and the included quick-release plate. I'm using it in a fixed position but it does seem to pan smoothly.

[Manual] Got this head to accommodate the weight of a JVC GY-HM 600U fully-loaded with on cam light/battery, shotgun mic, lav receiver and heavy thru-the-lens tablet teleprompter...between 25-30 lbs total. Was too much for my Manfrotto, but this Smith-Victor fluid head had no problem at all...smooth-as-silk. The dual pan arms nice, altho tightening screws could be better-positioned...get in the way of itself by design. Will tighten enough, but stop just short of being able to get super-tight...odd, but not a show-stopper. The quick-release plate better designed than most others, tons of flexibility mounting in almost any direction. Highly recommend this, and matching heavy-duty tripod legs---great product at a very reasonable price !

[24.15 lb] I have been using this to scan tons of old photos. The camera mount works well and the lighting is just right. For old photos, I use a piece of museum glass to flatten old prints. Also perfect for other macro jobs. I love it. Well worth the price.

[24.15 lb] I bought this stand in order to make the task of taking photos of old family snapshots that are permanently stuck in photo album pages easier.


Using my Fuji X-T2 with 80MM Fuji macro lens (IOS turned off!) it was very simple to get a production line going. The quick-release spring loaded upright made moving the camera up and down (as required for different sized prints) very quick. The LED light panels provide excellent flat even lighting. Basically, once it is set up initially, the little tweaks that are often needed are very easy to do.



Certainly sturdy enough for the kit I mounted; Im glad I bought this unit for my project and will likely use it in future for other copying situations.

[Manual] This stand was better than I had expected. I use it for animation. It is sturdy and the mast is taller than I had thought it would be, which gives a lot of options for media size and even camera movement. The lights work perfectly. The only issue I have is that the actual mounts on the lights seem a little weak, the plastic a little cheap. I’m concerned that they won’t wear well. Otherwise I love it and would recommend.

[24.15 lb] The copy stand is strong and sturdy. Height allows for wide range of copying. The clamp is strong enough for full size SLR's with lenses, but no fine adjustment as with a screw type clamp. B&H Photo's free shipping made it a real deal. The only issue was the product is sealed from the factory with cheap tape saying it is not responsible if open. The tape's adhesive was so bad it was open the length of the box with no evidence that it was pulled off, rather the tape just fell off because of the bad adhesive. I was lucky everything was there.
