Q: 1. i need a flatbed scanner for Mac, which scans a 8x10 inch photo a quickly. Do not need GREAT quality . I need speed, like this one has, but this does not work with Mac. Any suggestions?

A: The Epson Fast Foto 680W is Mac compatible and fast. It can scan an 8x10 photo in about 4 seconds plus it can batch scan up to 35 photos at once: https://bhpho.to/2MqbSfw

Q: 2. how does it power?

A: This unit is powered via usb cable connected to a computer.

Q: 3. I'm Looking for a scanner that Automatic file renamer + Barcode recognition + Batch separation. Can this do it? If so how many ppm and at what quality?

A: Those capabilities are not listed for this scanner.

Q: 5. I already have a wirelessly networked Epson Workforce 610 on my SOHO network. Would I be able to add this unit to my system without conflicts?

A: You shouldn't have any issues with adding this scanner to your network.

Q: 6. The power supply for ES-300W is lost. Can we order and what is the part number?

A: Epson does not carry the AC adapter for the Epson EW-300W on their own website. Epson uses another company called Compass Micro for their replacement parts. Product # 2186459 would be the part number for the AC adapter, and the link for the adapter directly from their website is listed below.https://bit.ly/2rHb1tWThey also state you would need the AC power cord, which is Product # 2068927.https://bit.ly/2jZgnNMHowever, do note the Watson AC Power Cable with IEC-C7 Connector, B&H # WAPCIECC7, would be a more economical replacement power cable that is also compatible with the Epson AC Adapter. Do note that Compass Micro states the following on their website:The AC adapter is expensive. As an alternative, If you have a true USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed) port on your computer, you should be able to charge the battery via the USB cable. A true USB 3.0 port is usually blue in color and often labeled as SS or 3.0 . The cable itself should be labeled that way too. Per the User Guide, USB 2.0 will not charge the battery.

Q: 7. Will the Epson ES-300W scan with a carrier sheet (the same one for the ES-500W (B12B819051))?

A: The ES-300W would not scan with a carrier sheet.

Q: 9. Will it work with Kofax Capture?

A: Yes, the Epson DS-730N Color Duplex Document Scanner can work with Kofax Capture.

[100 Scans] I have had a few of these over the last 20 years. Last one lasted 10 years. Ordered this to replace it and it works great like the older one.

[TWAIN, WIA, ICA] Every get something that completely changes the way you work? This is one of those things.

Before I got this, Id scan documents with an 8 year old flatbed scanner, then adjust it with Photoshop, etc, etc. So this would take about 5 minutes a side. This scans a whole pile of papers at about 2.5 seconds/double page, requiring no fiddling as it perfectly adjusted, and saving it in the most compact form possible.

Now I can copy a legal document without groaning. Now I can feed it all the notes, business cards and other scraps of paper on my desk in minutes and see my desk surface.

It is not perfect, I cant scan using the plastic card slot and the Mac software is a little quirky (a Windows port?). But these pale in relation to the tremendous productivity increase I get from it.

[5 VDC at 0.5 A] This is a review for the ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I never knew such a cool device existed! This thing is SUPER compact, (folds up nice and small to a rectangular shaped cube) so I can take it with me when I travel, work from a remote location (different office building, coffee shop, etc.), or even just do some work on my kitchen counter!

One surprise that I have NEVER seen in any scanner is the ability to run on battery power...making it truly portable. It runs on a normal plug, USB power, AND battery power. What an amazingly versatile product. I can see this being a VERY multifaceted scanner for those that are on the go a lot and need the ability to scan. It is also so compact that I can see people that live with limited space like apartments or something using this device and then folding it up after they are done with it.

The Epson Scanner software is incredibly easy to use. I have installed in on my Macbook Pro and on my Dell Desktop. There are just so many options and tweaks that you can do with this scanner. Scan documents, mail, even business cards!

[LED] This is the Swiss Army knife of portable scanners, very compact, but full of features. It fits in my backpack for travel, but once you open it up, it can do everything I needed. It has page support for feeding multiple documents, an adjustable paper feed and a dedicated slot for scanning business cards. I liked that it is fast at scanning pages with two-sided scanning! There is no long wait while it scans. The document feeder is a big time saver too. I would like to get a case or cover for it to protect it while traveling.

I did have a little trouble setting it up to my network since my Google Wifi does not allow WPS connection. Once I did get it connected, it has been solid for scanning. I have been able to scan to my laptop, Android phone and iPhone. I find it very useful to be able to scan via USB, my Wifi network (to any device on my network) or directly to it via its own Wifi access point. I can be pretty much anywhere, pull it and my phone out and be scanning documents. It charges via its own AC adapter, but also via a USB cable that was included. I have it on my desk for scanning documents and keep it connected via USB, but can quickly disconnect it and take it to a meeting to scan documents.

[Yes] I was skeptical when I read the specs as it looked similar to a mobile printer I had several years ago. I was very happily surprised when I open the box to see that this was nothing like that! What I found was a very well made, solid piece of technology that I had to try right away! My initial testing was on a W10 laptop via USB. The speed was very surprising and it was able to handle multiple pages with ease. Next, I setup the scanner on my home WiFi network and tested from the same W10 laptop - not a change in performance! I then connected my Samsung Note5 over the same WiFi and my mind was starting to blow! Finally, I setup the AP contained within the scanner so I could test directly from the scanner to my devices. As a 30+ year IT professional I was very skeptical, but very happily surprised to see the same type of results over the internal AP. My final test was at work via USB to a Wyse 5030 Zero Client. Again, it worked as advertised - amazing! It's slightly heavier than I expected, but it fit easily into my backpack along with my laptop or mobile zero client (NCS Technologies). The internal battery means you can use the device anywhere so long as you have a change. Very convenient! My opinion is my word, so I don't provide positive review to just any technology. This is one that I gladly attach my name to! Well done Epson! This is a review for the ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

[ID Card] Received my order a couple of weeks ago and been putting it through the paces. It works beautifully. I love that it duplexes automatically with one pass. I'm doing batches of files at a time and was particularly impressed when I passed a stack of fuel receipts for the year that were irregular in size and shape it processed them without a single hiccup.

[5 VDC at 0.5 A] I've worked with a lot of different brands of hardware and it seems that epson has out done themselves with this gem. I was super impressed with the speed of scanning, quality of the scan, and simplicity of the unit. It's definitely compact and makes life easy for anyone who is traveling or limited on space. Anyone who travels and has to scan and send in papers on the road this is perfect. The battery life is exceptional. I charged it when I received the unit and have put more than a couple 100 sheets through the unit.

Truth be told, I expected another run of the mill scanners that were just going to be "okay". This by far exceeds my expectations between the mobility and other features. I used it with both my android phone and my windows 10 laptop over wifi and was impress with the connectivity over wireless since it's commonly an issue with other devices.

Without a shadow of a doubt, hands down, this has been the best scanner I have ever owned. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs portability, simplicity, and/or a compact scanner.

This is a review for the ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
