Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, does this case have any way to access the focus ring?

A: No, not really. If you are looking for a cover that allows access to the lens, I would recommend the Think Tank Hydrophobia, click on the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2lUbMAP

Q: 2. It serves for a D7100 with a 17-50, 70-300 or 150-500 ?, is it very large?

A: LensCoat states that the LensCoat RainCoat Medium Sleeve (Green), B&H # LELCRSMGR, is 17" (43.2 cm) in size and would fit camera/lens combinations up to 15" (38.1 cm) in length. The Nikon D7100 DSLR camera and the Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 APO DG OS HSM Lens would be approximately 12.9" (32.7 cm) in length. As such, the LensCoat RainCoat Medium Sleeve (Green) would be compatible for use with your longest camera/lens setup, and may also be used with the other two lenses you indicated for outdoor weather protection needs.

Q: 3. My setup: Canon 5D Mark II, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM, 2x Extender III, ET-86 hood. It's 16 in length including the hood. I don't need to cover the entire hood which seems like this rain cover will work. Will it? Any other thoughts? My main concern is the larger covers (for 300mm, 400mm lenses) will be too big.

A: My setup is almost identical except that my camera is a Mark III (same size) and I don't use an extender. I use this rain cover extensively while shooting night high school football games in the rain. I especially like the way opening allows for access to the lens zoom control. I just returned from a trip to the Galapagos Islands where rain is always a threat. The cover was used several times. It goes on easily and stores conveniently when not in use. Hope this helps.

Q: 4. Hi what size should i buy my husband for a 14-24 mm 2.8 on a D810? Thx so much

A: the medium size will be slightly big but it will be also comfortable for your hand during the work . the small size will fit exactly but it will not be comfortable during the work

Q: 5. What size of LensCoat RainCoat Sleeve do you recommend for me to purchase for my Nikon D4 camera with the following lens: AF-S Nikon NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8G ED, AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED, AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f2.8G ED, AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED?

A: The LensCoat RainCoat Medium Sleeve would be most suitable based on your current Nikon gear.

Q: 6. Is it made of Gore Tex or breathable-water proof fabric?

A: It is made from a breathable water proof fabric.

Q: 7. Is its size large for a Nikon D7100 with a Nikon 70-300 if ed vr?

A: The medium cover should work fine with the 70-300mm.

Q: 8. Hi , I have Canon Eos RP with canon 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L USM . Which rain cover size i need?

A: Yes, the LensCoat RainCoat Medium Sleeve (Realtree Max4) is the best size for the RP and the 100-500mm lens--it's slightly big for this, but the Small size is too small.

Q: 9. What size would work for the Sony A1 and the Sony 100-400mm lens? What about the A1 and the 200-600mm lens? Thanks.

A: The LensCoat RainCoat Medium Sleeve (Black) is the best size for the a1 and the Sony 100-400mm lens; for the a1 and the Sony 200-200mm lens, the LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve (Black) is the correct size.

Q: 10. Wondering if this size is overkill for use with a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8? It will be fine for my 70-200mm 2.8, but I want to just try one size for (hopefully) both lenses.

A: The Medium is longer than necessary for the 24-70mm lens. But if you want one cover for both your lenses, the Medium size is definitely usable.

[0.26 lb] I am using the size M RainCoat on a Canon R5 with RF 100-500 mm zoom. The rain coat fits the body and lens nicely, goes on and off easily, and readily accommodates my need to access the controls on the body and to change the zoom on the lens, which changes the shape and size of the unit significantly. So far, I'm very satisfied.
Admittedly, I have not tried it with a 1.4X tele-extender or tripod yet, however.

[Universal] The Lenscoat Medium sleeve fits my Nikon D800 and 70-200 f/2.8 telephoto zoom really well. It's just what I need for hiking and shooting around town in the rain. There's plenty of room to zoom and focus the lens through the slot below the lens without letting the rain in. The cover over the camera is more than sufficient, extending several inches past the body.

[Universal] Easy to use, very, very good, I used it during the rain. Very good for d800 Tamron 100-400mm.

[0.26 lb] I love raincoat products. They seem well thought out and the materials are of high quality (although at first I thought they were a little flimsy) and have withstood my stress tests. I like the different appearance options and I have both camo and navy items.

[Yes] No, it doesn't rain that much in Arizona, but it can sure get dusty...and hot. Choose the AP Snow to reflect as much of the sun as possible. As far as dust? Well water is finer than dust and it keeps out both. And, the northern California coast isn't that far away and that's where the raincoat got it's first use. No dust but lots of rain in the Redwood parks. Worked great, easy on, easy off, drys quickly. So, water or dust, my gear is protected. Finally B&H service as always is impeccable. Decided to order on a whim on Tuesday, leaving on Friday. Got two day expedited delivery, arrived on Thursday, left for the coast on Friday. All Good. Well worth the investment. Only complaint is it doesn't fold as small as my previous rain covering, but is much sturdier. I'll accept that trade off.

[Yes] Tired of using baggies to cover the camera in a rain shower. This unit was way cheaper than the expensive brand I never used. Simple, solid, does the job.
