Nikon users will be happy to learn that the case fits a Nikon with a 200-500mm f/5.6 lens (reversed lens hood).

Holds a full-sized DSLR body (including Nikon D5-series or Canon 1D-series bodies) and a 70-200/2.8 or 80-400/4-5.6 lens with the hood in the shooting position. Will also hold a Nikon 200-500mm/5.6 or Sigma 120-300/2.8 with hood reversed.

When used on a waist belt, the optional Y302 strap kit is recommended to prevent the top of the case from pulling away from the belt.

The outside front pocket will hold a select shoe-mount flash unit or select prime lenses like a 50/1.4 with the hood attached and reversed (it is unpadded so one should exercise caution).

Features an "under the lid" pocket for lens tissue, CF or SD cards.

One pair of Siamese SlikClip buckles included for attaching old style Kinesis TwinBuckle pouches to one side of the case.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you fit the sony 200-600 lens with the A9 into this bag?

A: The max interior of this bag can hold 16 inches in height and the camera with that lens is about 14.75 inches so you would have a little extra room.

Q: 2. Specifically, has anyone used the C850 with a DSLR body attached to a Sigma 150-600mm lens with attached tripod foot, and with or without the lens hood?

A: The lens and camera are about 12". The hood is about 3". About 15" then total. The Kinesis C850 Extra Large Holster Case (Black) B&H # KIC850 Inside Height: 16.00" / 40.64 cm. So you are good to go.

Q: 3. Will the Kinesis C850 hold a D500 attached to a Sigma 150-600?

A: Yes, My D500 with the grip and the Nikon 200-500mm fit in it nicely.

Q: 4. What about the cover and padded interior?, is it good? I have read that is not that good. I would appreciate your comments

A: The cover and the padding in the Kinesis C850 Extra Large Holster Case is very good in my opinion. Most of our customer reviews also agree that the padding is sufficient.

Q: 5. Will it accommodate nikon D850 with battery grip and sigma 60-600mm lens attached?

A: Yes, it will hold your gear.

Q: 6. Will the Kinesis C850 hold a Z8 w/1.4 converter and Nikon Z180-600 lens attached?

A: The Kinesis C850 Extra Large Holster Case (Black) will fit the Z8 with the 180-600mm lens. Adding the teleconverter would be just a little too tight and I would not recommend it.

Q: 7. I have Nikon D850 with battery grip and L-plate, which measures 7" X 6.5". Will this fit?

A: Yes, a Nikon D850 equipped with a battery grip can fit into the Kinesis C600, but without an L-plate attached.

Q: 8. What about a strap for carrying on the shoulder? The images that I have seen really don't show. The "In the box" doesn't list it ?

A: A shoulder strap is not included with the Kinesis C850, but you can use the Kinesis Y315 Padded Shoulder Strap, BH # KIY315 with it. https://bhpho.to/3VG3AiJ

Q: 9. Anyone try this case with a 200mm f/2 lens?

A: The Canon 200mm f2 lens attached to a camera will easily fit in the Kinesis C850 Extra Large Holster Case. The C850 features a 16 inch height, and the 200mm lens is 9 inches long.

Q: 10. How is the camera suspended in the holster? Or does it just rest on the end of the lens/hood?

A: It would depend on the length of the lens but in most cases the front of the lens touches the bottom of a holster case. The lens hood should be in the reverse position when put into a case.

[Zipper] Works well with my OM1 and150-600mm lense with hood attached. Includes several pockets for extras. Provides the protection I was looking for.

[Yes] I have been looking a long time for a bag for a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 with a body attached. This bag is a perfect fit. It also has a front pouch big enough for a Teleconverter and other small accessories. And the bag only weighs 14 ounces, so it doesn't add a lot to the weight of a very heavy lens while in transport and it still provides ample padding.

[Yes] Purchased this bag for use with my Canon 100-400L MKII on a 7D MKII or 5D MKIV with the hood in the shooting position. Perfect fit. The lens is in the retracted position. I do not use a battery grip but there is more than enough room to accommodate one. Small pocket on the front easily holds spare battery, card case and other small items. No shoulder strap is included but not a deal breaker at all. Excellent quality and great service to the Great White North from B&H.

[Universal] I tried a ThinkTank 150 for a long telephoto lens and body attached. It was a VERY tight fit. Now with this Kinesis I can use my Z9 with the 100-400S lens and the lens hood attached ready to go, not reversed. I have a 180-600Z lens on order that will also fit perfectly fine. Plenty of padding to protect but not real stiff either. Large storage zip front compartment to handle cleaning gear, straps and more. What a great design. I consider this to be the 1st choice for what I described being used.

[Black] I use this bag to carry my D7200 with a Tamron 150-600mm lens attached to the camera. Great bag, no complaints.

[Empty] The BlackMagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K aka BMPCC4K is an odd body shape and large for a DSLR format body. I also have a half cage on my camera and this holster case still fits everything. I'd say there is at least an inch of length extra and I have a Canon-M43 adapter on my 150-600mm Tamron lens. This camera rig is just about as large as a DSLR-style camera can get at this point so this case should be able to fit anything. I'm putting up this review because I know it is hard to find the right case for the BMPCC4K and this case is perfect. I put this case inside a large bookbag-style day backpack for carrying long distances or while bike riding. The padding is just right and the side pocket can carry plenty of extra batteries and filters.

[Zipper] I was looking for a holster case that would hole my 1DX with 200mm f/2 attached, ideally with the hood in place. This is a very conspicuous combination and it would be nice to have something to carry it in to hide it, but be able to get it out quickly ready to do. This case isn't fancy, doesn't have the most or best padding in the world, but it does fit this body and lens combination and there is nothing else I could find that works for this purpose.
