Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this have a Warranty?

A: This would have a 3 year manufacturers warranty

Q: 2. Can either strap be used as the sling strap or is only one strap designated for the sling?

A: Yes, either strap can be uses as a sling strap on the USA GEAR S17 DSLR Camera Backpack.

Q: 3. will this fit a Nikon D800 with battery grip attached?

A: Yes, this will fit the D800 with the grip attached.

Q: 4. Can it fit Nikon D750 with AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR Lens, without removing it?

A: My Pentax fits with a lens plus 1.7x attached, which is 4 long. If yours is much longer than that, no. I looked at the dimensions of your lens and it says it's 9.4 That doesn't seem likely, but if that is the case, no, it won't fit. My camera is 2 front to back. The depth is about 7 in the backpack.

Q: 5. The side pockets - there is only one, correct, since the other side opens up into the bag? So I would have to choose either for the water bottle or for the tripod? And for a water bottle - is the pocket deep enough the bottle won't tumble out?

A: The side pocket is deep enough for a water bottle and there would be a cinch strap to secure it further.

Q: 6. Is the Tamron SP 150-600mm lens able to fit in this bag.

A: I was Able to fit my Nikon 200-500mm in it which was a very big lens but thats all I can help with . Hope that helps.

Q: 7. I have a bmpcc4k 4K with a smallrig cage and a top handle will it fit in the bag?

A: The interior of the USA GEAR S17 backpack is about 11x10x6 inches so it will fit your camera with the cage and handle.

Q: 8. Which one has bigger/wider camera apartment between this bag and Manfrotto Advanced II FAST Backpack (Black) BH #MAMBMA2BPFM ?

A: USA GEAR S17 DSLR Camera Backpack photo compartment is 11''L x 10''W x 5''D. Manfrotto Advanced II FAST Backpack is almost the same size but the depth is 7.1 inches.

Q: 9. How much does the entire bag weigh? The specs said the interior weighs 2.5 lb but the package weighs only 2 lb. It doesn't make sense, unless some part will be missing when delivered.

A: The USA GEAR S17 DSLR Camera Backpack weights in at 2 lbs. The numbers in the specs are reversed. The package weights 2.47 lbs.

Q: 10. MacBook

A: This Backpack would not ave a pocket for the Macbook.

[Zipper] I have a larger Ruggard Slingpack for my Sigma 150-500 lens and such, but wanted something smaller for wandering about with smaller lenses. Was looking for something that would fit my Pentax K-5ii and K-3 with lenses attached. I prefer a sling to a backpack. By reconfiguring the pads in this bag, I'm able to carry the K-5ii with Sigma 17-70 attached (hood reversed) AND the K-3 with Pentax 55-300 WR attached (hood reversed), plus filters and accessories. The K-5ii is placed in the bag with the camera in 'portrait' vice 'landscape' position. Much nicer package to carry around when I don't need the 150-500. Can't speak for durability yet.

[Zipper] Considering the name vivitar from years gone by - was never the top brand but made its name present in the camera business. I bought this bag hoping that it would meet my needs but thinking maybe not. After I received the bag - this bag is great - the photo does not do it justice! I love mine!

[Zipper] It is the perfect size and much more comfortable than I expected. It can hold my canon rebel t7 with 1 kit lens and the Fifty Nifty and still have a bit of room to spare. I particularly love the buckles that connect to straps over the camera compartment - more security for the camera.

[Zipper] Used it over the weekend for two weddings, it is great and comfortable. Also quite stylish and eye catching which is why we went red as oppose to black again.

[Yes] The Vivitar DKS-15 Sling Backpack is the right tool for the job or for anyone running and gunning video if you will. The size is small to medium with a sling and a cross chest strap for security. the inside has adjustable partitions to fit the size of your equipment, plus a side pouch for a small tripod.

I couldn't be happier except I still have room left over so I guess I'll have to pick up a few more thing to fill the backpack a little more!

[4.8 lb] This is my favorite bag. I was looking for a travel bag that was smaller and lighter than my current bag and that I could fit all of my gear into. This bag held as much equipment in the lower half (camera compartment) than the entirety of my previous bag, which was slightly larger than this one! I ended up cutting a lot of the excess straps off because I like things to be simple. I like that it did provide extra straps so you could have many possibilities of configuration. It also looks like a regular bag instead of a camera bag which is good for a lot of reasons. :)
