Created to support items weighing up to 0.66 lb, the Kupo Flex Arm Kit for Dots and Fingersfrom Kupo Flex Arm Kit for Dots and Fingersis a highly useful accessory for tabletop, close-up and other fine work. Dots and Fingers are small silks, scrims, reflectors, diffusers, and flags. The round Dots average from 3 to 10" in diameter and the Fingers range from approximately 12 to 14" long. The Flex Arm is a highly bendable 17.5" length of metal that has a 3/8"-16 female thread at each end. At one end a hex adapter is attached to connect to a Convi or Super Clamp while at the other end Kupo has mounted a special Dot and Finger holder. Each adapter can be locked down with an included M4 screw.

Q: 1. I already have the Kupo C-stand with Turtle Base, the steel baby boom arm and the grip head. However, I like the idea of the Kupo Pivoting Boom Arm Clamp. I am having trouble, from the singular image, how it will actually works with the boom arm. It might seem like a silly question, but how does the pole fit into it? A: The riser from a C stand is inserted in the tube that you see in the top of the image of this product. Then you twist the handle on top to tighten it in place. So, this product basically allows you to use a C stand riser as a super-sturdy boom arm.

Q: 2. Will this grip arm support work with other C-stands with grip arms, i.e. A Matthews Hollywood C-Stand?

A: It can work with any C-stand but you will also need a Kupo 3 way clamp, this fits the C-stand. The grip arm can't be greater than 16mm (I had to look that up on the Kupo site). I bought this when I tried to mount a Westcott Apollo Orb, and pair of Cactus RF60 Flashes with battery packs and it was able to keep it in position. Without it I couldn't keep it upright.

A: Includes both BHE-102 and BHE-108? I think not. The kit has two items, the flex arm and the super clamp, not two flex arms. The heavy duty arm is BHE-102, the less heavy duty one is BHE-108. A: There is a brake between the pole and the collar to add friction and prevent damage to the pole.

A: You would need a Junior to baby adapter to mount to a 5/8 stud Impact Baby to Junior Receiver Adapter BH #IMME130 • MFR #ME-130. What you mount in the other socket would need to have a male junior pin.
