Each clamp jaw is covered in a removable rubber surface that guaranties objects hold fast and aren't scratched. Unlike some clamps whose grip pads are glued, the rubber pads of the Super Viser Clamp are mechanically interlocked into the aluminum jaws to help maintain proper grip over longer lifetimes. Capable of handling items weighing up to 66.1 lb, the clamp has a knurled 5/8" pin at one end and a hex receiver at the other for additional mounting options. A convenient hex socket is available on the terminal end of the jaws, and is compatible with Convi or Super Clamps for additional mounting options.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone used these with the Scrim Jim Cine frame for attaching to a C-Stand or something similar (which is the new iteration of scrim jim)? Any thoughts? Thank you!

A: I use them for this purpose and they work great.

Q: 2. I could I use it with a pole? I want to put my flash at there, what weight could I use over it ?

A: The center jaw could be used to hold a flash to a pipe.

Q: 3. This looks better (more functional than) the Matthews Matthellini Clamp with 6" End Jaw. Can anyone confirm? (Strange that there are no reviews.)

A: This clamp differs from the Matthews Matthellini in that it offers a longer length at 9 inches while the Matthews product only goes up to 6".

Q: 4. What is the OVERALL length end-to-end?...and, what is the size of the OPEN jaw, i.e.., what size object can the open jaw accommodate?

A: The actual post is about 8 (inches) long. The bottom half of the clamp to the top of the post is 5 long. Within the clamp jaws you could fit a 3 1/4 item. I wouldn't go larger than 3 though. I use it to hold boom poles on C clamps. Works great!

Q: 5. Where is the size measured from? The maximum jaw gap, or the length of the entire clamp?

A: The bolt is 4" the overall length is longer at 8.75".

Q: 6. I have a Matthellini clamp that looks just like this and want to buy a second one. However, the jaw I have is 3 wide. Is this 3 wide or only 2 ? I can't find a 3 version at B&H. Thanks.

A: This clamp is 3 wide. The 2 , I believe, refers to the depth of the clamp - from front to back of the jaw.

Q: 7. What is the difference in functionality between the center jaw and the end jaw configuration of the Matthellini?

A: The end jaw model can be an easier fit in tight spaces since you don't need to have space for the fastening handle to stick out behind what you're mounting. The center jaw model is more stable under load since it keeps mounted weight closer to the jaws.

Q: 8. If I was to use this with a hex stud, can I mount a monopod head to it and use it instead of a monopod stick. Thanks for the help

A: Hi,What is the application? This clamp is designed to hold lights. You can attach a hex receiver plate to mount a head on it and then use it as a table clamp.a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/863632-REG/Kupo_kg002312_3_8_16_THREADED_MOUNT_PLATE.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/863632-REG/Kupo_kg002312_3_8_16_THREADED_MOUNT_PLATE.html/aI hope this helps.Regards,Will HBrand Manager Lighting, MAC Group US

Q: 9. can it be used to lock bottles? for spash shot..

A: These clamps could lock on a bottle when performing a splash shot based on the curvature of the jaws.

Q: 10. How longer is the metal rod/stud (I dont know the proper word for it, hope you understand what I mean)?

A: The following unit comes in at 5 inches.

[24 x 5 x 2"] I bought this clamp because it has a smaller jaw that fits into this tiny space in my studio when I need to clamp a light. It is versatile with 2 mounting at each end. Also, the jaw doesn't swing around like other clamps of this kind. That is real bonus.

[Flat] Now, I officially have 3 of these babies and they are exactly what I need for my Wheelchair rig. Kupo products are strong and are built well!

[Silver] I purchased two of these clamps to hold my heavy duty painted canvas backdrops from unfurling under their own weight. I cant afford to get these pricey backdrops creased! Using other spring loaded clamps is very difficult given the lack of lateral clearance with the walls. These clamps, while not cheap are a great solution for my situation.

[Silver] By adding a baby pin on the other side, I was able add a grip head on BOTH ends to accommodate a tricky rig on a my dolly (sorry, no pic to show - we were too busy to show off...). As usual, Kupo has shown decent design ideas and a reliable, strong build for the money.

[Silver] High quality and versatile clamp. Perfect for in-studio or on location use. Jaws can clamp to table tops, piping, or other odd shaped surfaces. Built-in baby pin makes this useful right out of the box. Hex receiver on opposite end of the baby pin allows for custom configuration of your lighting setup.

[Silver] Having the 9 jaw of this to attach a card to larger areas all while adding the second spigot receiver is genius. Id def recommend one of these to a kit of their 4 versions or cards clamps of any kind!
