The GoPro Tripod Mount with Ball Head Adapter - Kupoattaches to your GoPro-style action camera via its three-prong mount. Use this ball head adapter to increase your range of positions when attaching your GoPro style camera to a clamp or other support with a mounting stud. The bottom of the adapter has a 3/8"-16 thread and it includes a bushing for use with a 1/4"-20 thread. A cutout on the ball head collar enables you to tilt the camera mount at angles up to 90°. Constructed of anodized aluminum and plastic components, this mount is both lightweight and durable.

[0.3 lb] This is used to put a small camera on a C-stand or light stand. The second lower hole is useful when attaching it to a shorter pin. 5

[0.3 lb] The hole at the bottom is off centre for some reason. Probably the thicker side wall of the female receptor is to provide enough threads and strength to the two 3/8 side holes where the tightening knob is threaded. I don't mind the semi-polished silver finish. The adapter works as designed. Delivery was a fast 3 days to Ontario, Canada. 5

[0.3 lb] I've been using this little guy to mount a tripod head (and camera) to a C-stand boom arm so that I can get top-down overhead shots with much more flexibility and height than trying to screw around with a tripod. Pro tip: grind a flat spot on your boom arm's baby head pin, and then align the set screw on this adapter to that flat spot when you tighten it down... then it can't rotate at all on the baby head pin. I have ground flat spots into all of my booms, arms, and C-stand heads for this purpose. 5

[Ball head] I love to film whales in their natural habitat. Unfortunately I like to use both still and GoPro video. Before getting this neat little accessory, it was a challenge to do both. Now I can mount my GoPro on the hot hot shoe of my DSLR and use both at the same time. 5

[Ball head] I’m a Kupo fan, but in fairness use other brands as well. Of all my stands and accessories, Kupo is at the top for their quality of build and engineering. They are just better and more heavy duty than others. It’s stuff that will last you a lifetime as a hobbyist and a long time as a pro. This ball head adapter is no exception. You won’t regret having Kupo. Recommended. 5
