Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the close focus distance?

A: This has just under a 2' Minimum Focus distance.

Q: 2. How does this lens perform for astrophotography?

A: This lens will work very well for astro photography.

Q: 3. How does sharpness compare to the 16mm 1.4? How does that lens stopped down to f/2.8 compare to this wide open?

A: While I personally believe the optical quality of the FUJIFILM XF 16mm f/1.4 R WR Lens would be superior compared to the FUJIFILM XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR Lens, I have not seen any comprehensive testing of the two lenses side-by-side comparing the sharpness of the different apertures you mention above. That being said, from my brief usage with the FUJIFILM XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR Lens, I think it has great optical performance and as a great option for the price compared to the 16mm f/1.4 lens. However, do note that you may purchase the lens, and if you test it and it does not work for your planned usage needs, you would have 30 days from the original purchase date to return the lens for an exchange or refund.

Q: 4. where is this scope made?

A: The Kowa TSN-553 15-45x55 PROMINAR Spotting Scope (Angled Viewing), is made in Japan.

Q: 5. Which digiscope instrument to buy for iphone 14 pro?

A: This Novagrade Universal Double Gripper Digiscoping Adapter would be the best option in my opinion: https://bhpho.to/32hdKfd

Q: 6. Can these lenses be adapted for use with a Red Gemini Camera?

A: No, micro four-thirds lenses can not be adapted to fit any of RED's DSMC2's mounts: PL or Canon EF.

Q: 7. Is this scope compatible with Manfrotto 128RC head?

A: Yes this Micro Fluid Head will be compatible with this Scope.

Q: 8. What is the image circle?

A: The image circle of the Sirui 24mm f/2.8 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens (MFT Mount) (B&H# SI24AM43ML) is sufficient to cover a micro four thirds sensor. It should not be used with other sensors and it will not attach to other mounts. Moreover, changing the flange distance could result in the loss of infinity focus.

Q: 9. What's the field of view?

A: It's equivalent to about an 18mm spherical lens.

Q: 10. What wil be the field of view for a Panasonic Lumix G95 (MTF)?

A: The Sirui 24mm f/2.8 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens when mounted on Micro 4/3 camera sensors the crop factor would be 2x. This lens would have a FOV of 48mm.

[2 lb] I've been shooting film projects on the GH4 and the GH5 for a while now. I love wide angle, so it's been challenging to find the best lens until I found this one. This lens offers full control over focus and aperture. The addition of a clickless aperture is especially excellent. The 12mm focal length (equal to about 24mm on a full frame), gets me the most out of my images. Especially when composing for the 2:35 aspect ratio. This lens is a must-have for Micro 4/3 video shooters, especially cinematographers. Highly recommended.

[86 mm] High quality optics in a lightweight portable package. I am very impressed with the quality of this product. Construction is first rate and very solid with good ergonomic features. The optics are amazing with no color fringing or distortion. I use the scope with a KOWA TSE-Z9B 20-60x eyepiece, another quality item. I am amazed every time I use this scope at the distances I can see, with such detail! I can spend hours looking through the scope enjoying all the detail that has been hiding in plain sight. You can even get photos using and iPhone held up the eyepiece The image is surrounded by a black circle but the detail is amazing. I would recommend the CNW-10 Kowa Cordura Carrying Case. The case is great and is very fast to open and offers protection from bumps and scrapes. You will also need a solid tripod and head as any vibration is easily seen at the high magnification this scope is capable of.

[8.5mm] I use this scope for birdwatching. I did not purchase this scope because I was unhappy with the quality of my 82mm scope. I purchased it to have a scope that is less than 1/2 the weight of a full size scope. When going on a hike where reducing the overall weight is a prime consideration, this scope fills the bill. There is no compromise in image quality. If you are looking to reduce weight in your equipment, this scope could definitely be your answer.

[T3
f/2.8] Great scope. Clear and sharp to the edges. Lightweight and compact. Some say the body feels cheap as it is a polycarbonate body but this is what makes it lightweight. Flourite glass is amazing! Price is right - much cheaper than Zeiss, Leica or Swaro but performance is on par or better. 15-45x 55mm objective is perfect combination....had a 60x Swaro never used 60x unless conditions were perfect as clarity suffered: And, given the weight, quality of glass, price and how often I went above 50x, Kowa is perfect.

[86 mm] Great spotting scope with easy zoom and focus possibilities. Very sharp and clear view even when zooming very close. The possibility to attach your DSLR camera with adapter is great additional feature. B/H had fast and reliable delivery!

[6.5 x 5.1 x 5"] This is the best Spotting scope I have owned! It is replacing one that cost almost double last year. The Kowa is crystal clear to the edge and is great in low light conditions. I went with a straight 30x eye piece and couldn't be happier. I use the spotting scope on back country hunts because it is light weight and an unbelievable piece of glass. I will be adding more Kowa to my list of fine optics.

[9] I have the sibling, angled version, of the TSN-664M and decided that for certain applications, this straight viewing model was something I needed to have.

It seems at this time the TSN-664M and 663M are being phased out for a new model. I am hopeful this line won't go the way of the Dodo. I think Kowa is a premier spotting scope manufacturer, and this model is a great way to get into a premium spotting scope. My preference is the 30x wide-angle eyepiece. It is super comfortable for long-term viewing especially if you wear glasses.

You can't go wrong with the Kowa Prominar line.

[MFT] This is a superb, high-quality spotting scope. Very clear optics and performance. It is light-weight but powerful. I upgraded to the Kowa from a large, bulky scope that I never liked and very happy I did so.
