A: Sorry, but the Canon XA20's lens is not removable so there is no way to mount this Kowa lens. Since 25mm is very telephoto on the XA20's 1/2.84 HD CMOS Sensor, you might consider this tele converter that you mount on the front of the XA20's permanent lens. Canon TL-H58 Tele-Converter Lens (1.5x) B&H # CATLH58. Of course, this all depends on what you are planning to do.

Q: 3. is this comfortable with sony a7r2?

A: the A7RII is a full frame (FE) e mount camera. This lens is for crop sensor (APS-C) e mount only. You can use it on a A7RII but will need to put the camera in crop sensor mode.

A: I only used it for still photos. The focus ring is very smooth with just right friction. Love it. I guess it should perform well for video too.

A: I would say that the image quality of the Kowa is very good and comparable with the Veydra. While Kowa is not that well known in the still world and recently in the movie world, they are a venerable Japanese optical company that has produced respected optics for generations. I would say that your choice comes down to features. If you are stills oriented with occasional video, the Kowa might be just the ticket. If you will be doing only video, the cinema oriented Veydra set of primes would be good choice.

[1.75 lb] This stope is very sharp, small and light weight. We will use it to view wolves and bears in Yellowstone as well as the birds near our home. It is easy to use and the cover protects it nicely. Highly recommended. 5

[MFT] This is the best Spotting scope I have owned! It is replacing one that cost almost double last year. The Kowa is crystal clear to the edge and is great in low light conditions. I went with a straight 30x eye piece and couldn't be happier. I use the spotting scope on back country hunts because it is light weight and an unbelievable piece of glass. I will be adding more Kowa to my list of fine optics. 5

[T1.9 f/1.8] This is a superb, high-quality spotting scope. Very clear optics and performance. It is light-weight but powerful. I upgraded to the Kowa from a large, bulky scope that I never liked and very happy I did so. 5

[25mm] Great scope. Clear and sharp to the edges. Lightweight and compact. Some say the body feels cheap as it is a polycarbonate body but this is what makes it lightweight. Flourite glass is amazing! Price is right - much cheaper than Zeiss, Leica or Swaro but performance is on par or better. 15-45x 55mm objective is perfect combination....had a 60x Swaro never used 60x unless conditions were perfect as clarity suffered: And, given the weight, quality of glass, price and how often I went above 50x, Kowa is perfect. 5

[1:6.5] I have been looking for a compact travel scope for a while. The alternatives (such as Nikon ED50 or Vortex Razor HD) always felt too much like a compromise. This one is a real jewel and on a par with some of the best spotting scopes of the 65mm class.
