The red Match Technical Opera-O Soft Shutter Release Button Red Short Stemfrom Match Technical Opera-O Soft Shutter Release Button Red Short Stemgives you the ability to find a recessed shutter button on the camera while not looking away from the viewfinder. Camera shake is also minimized, which enables you to take a picture at slower shutter speeds without the worry of camera blur.

The button's short stem is compatible only with Leica's M Typ 240, M-E, and Monochrom cameras as well as the Fuji X-Pro2. Because of the short threads inside the shutter button, the short stem on the button does not strip when it is screwed in. Therefore, the release button's convex profile raises the height of the camera's shutter button making it easy-to-find.

Once the Soft Shutter Release Button is screwed in, the button's CNC machined brass threads, which are not easily broken off, does not bind to the shutter button. An O-ring under the enamel head of the button keeps the button completely secure to the camera when it is tightened down. In addition, the enamel button has been painted with a red menacing face theme in a high-quality gloss paint.

Q: 4. I’m reading that the X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 take the short stem, unlike the rest of the X series. Is this also true of the X-Pro3?

A: The X-Pro 3 takes the same short stem buttons as it's predecessors.

Q: 5. Will either work with the Q2?

Q: 6. Will this work in a Fuji XT-20 ?

A: Although, I agree, it is a nice Soft Shutter Release Button, I have found that it isnt optional for the X-T20 because its diameter always touches the shutter speed dial whenever you are taking a picture. I would encourage you to find a Shutter Release Button smaller in diameter.

[Red] Works as described and is an essential upgrade. No more fidgeting around to get to the too-small shutter-button. Offers a better touch and shooting is more steady. Looks good, too.

[0.025 lb] So after searching around for some soft release buttons I stumbled onto a couple of these from B&H. I specifically was looking for an all black button to go with my all black Fuji XT-4 and this was the closest to my liking. I first saw a taller version of this button and then found this shorter version and decided to take a chance. The button is easy to install and have not had any issues yet after a handful of uses. Also because of the material style my finger easily grips the button and serves its person. Very satisfied!

[Red] This provides a very nice, smooth release. Only problem is that they are extremely easy to loose when used with the Fuji X-series bodies. This is because the shutter release is used to turn the camera on/off and therefore it's easy to inadvertently loosen the button. Once loose it falls out and is rarely found unless you're inside or notice immediately that it's parted with the camera. May have to resort to using blue Loctite.

[Red] I have a Fujifilm x100v and this little soft shutter release button is strictly to operate the camera. It screws into the shutter release button gives more control in releasing the shutter. That's probably a good enough reason to get this small device. But it does more than that. It give a large measure of joy when I pick up the camera a look at it. It's very well made and the colored picture on the button is just charming. I've had these with other decorations with cameras and enjoyed them very much. They work well and you if you do want to use a cabled remote shutter release you simply unscrew this black button and use the cable. I don't take those kinds of shots so I've never tried it. Just know that Match Technical does a great job with these slow release buttons. They are fun and functional. What's better than that.
