The 150 x 150mm Haida NanoPro MC ND Filter 150x150mm 15-Stopis designed for the Haida NanoPro MC ND Filter 150x150mm 15-StopM15 filter holder. This square neutral density filter is 2mm thick and features a 32,000x filter factor, providing a 15-stop reduction in exposure across the entire image. This allows you to slow down shutter speeds to capture movement in your photos and use wider apertures in bright lighting situations.

Made of optical glass, the filter is designed to provide a neutral performance that leaves no color cast and preserves image sharpness. Applied on both sides are several layers of coating which help reduce ghosting and reflections. The coating also makes the surface resistant to scratches and repels water, making it easier to clean when using the filter in inclement conditions.

A: So long as you are using a digital view, such as a live view on the back of the camera, or a EVF on most mirrorless. You will be fine. Never look at the sun through an optical view finder found on most DSLRs.

Q: 9. Do these filters have the foam at the back to block light like the Lee big and little stopper filters? Will they fit in the Lee filter holder?

A: Yes a foam gasket is on the back of this filter and it will fit the Lee 100mm holders.

Q: 10. I bought the 16.5 stop version. Haida page says ok for solar photos. I will use live view Why does Lawrence say it is not ok?

[0.715 lb] I have tested this filter three times now in daylight and artificial light and am very satisfied; it's earned a place in my kit. Density was perhaps a quarter stop less than 10 stops. The color is extremely accurate, varying from my no filter control shot by about 50 degrees K cooler and (in Capture One) 2.5 greener. These are extremely small adjustments. My 10 stop B+W gives a very strong red-warm cast that is hard to eliminate completely with a grey balance, a color cross-over likely due to infrared leaking through the filter. Sharpness: using a Nikon D850, 20mm f/1.8 lens, tripod, mirror up, electronic front curtain shutter, f/8, default settings in C1, at 100% view onscreen the Haida is indistinguishable in the center from No Filter, and at the edges shows only a tiny resolution loss (typical of any filter). You have to go to 200% and compare side by side to see the subtle differences. With a longer focal length lens, I expect any differences to be even smaller. My verdict: excellent filter at a good price. I plan to buy a second in a different size and see no reason to search other brands. 5

[0.715 lb] I have had the Lee Filters NDs for several years, and after trying Haida's 6 and 10 stop filters I will not go back. The Haida ND filters have a more natural color balance then the Lee. I had purchased their filter holder system as well but I didn't like it and kept my Lee holder system. This filter does work in the Lee holder though it does fits very tightly, not necessarily a bad thing as it is light tight. I am very pleased with these filters! 5

[0.715 lb] I've never used an HD filter before so I went on live chat to B&H and they were so helpful in pinpointing what was going to be best filter for what I was using it for. This filter was recommended as it has thin glass so I would hopefully not get the vignette when using through day. I have not been disappointed. The filter arrived 2 days after purchasing it online and the results I've got from using it have been incredible. I would definitely use B&H again when deciding on my next photography purchase. They were extremely knowledgeable and this has resulted in me getting the product I was hoping for. 5
