Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I get this in the G frequency Range or another Range?

A: No. As a US dealer, B&H offers the components in the Sennheiser XSW 2 Wireless Combo System with Handheld Mic & Senal Earset Mic for frequency range A (548 to 572 MHz) which is the only frequency band offered for the XS Wireless Series systems to use in North America. All of the frequency bands for Sennheiser's XS Wireless Series systems differ from the frequency bands used for the Evolution Wireless Series and the components from these two series do not work together. For example, frequency range A for the Evolution Wireless Series system is 516 to 558 MHz, which is different from the A range for the XS Wireless series. There is no frequency range G for the XS Wireless Series and the other ranges that Sennheiser offers for the XS systems are only for use in different countries. Each of the other frequency ranges for the XS Wireless Series are only sold in the countries where they can be used.

Q: 2. Does this have a ptt button? If so, where is it?

A: The Motorola IXTN4011 Single-Ear Headset with Boom Mic does not have a Push-To-Talk button.

Q: 3. What is the Range from mic to receiver

A: These systems work line of sight and base specs off of optimal conditions. Realistically, 100-150 feet would work even though most of the time they will claim around 300 feet.

Q: 4. Could this be used with a Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS female to XLR male adapter with phantom power converter to use it as a wired mic?

A: Yes, the Polsen ESM-1-35H Single-Sided Earset Microphone for Sennheiser Transmitters (B&H # POESM135H) can be used with the RODE VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP) in order to connect it to a wired XLR microphone input. As another option, you could use the similar Polsen ESM-1-MN Single-Sided Earset Microphone for Recorders and Wireless Transmitters (B&H # POESM1MN) for connection to a standard 3.5mm TRS mic input with plug-in power. Either version of the earset mic can be used with the VXLR+ adapter for connection to an XLR mic input. The difference between the two models is that the version for Sennheiser transmitters has a locking 3.5mm connector and the version for recorders has a standard non-locking 3.5mm connector.

Q: 5. how thick is this weight?

A: It is 4 inches in diameter and 1.75 inches in thickness.

Q: 6. Will this ear piece work with the Shure BLX1 J10 wireless transmitter?

A: Yes, The Polson ESM-A-TA4 will work with the Sony BLX transmitters,

Q: 7. what type of Mic's you suggest?

A: Hello, depending on what type of recording you are trying to accomplish, we recommend any one of our Blue microphones. Our Blue lineup offers a variety of different mic sizes and capsule amount for different environments.

Q: 8. Is the ear frame flexible? (Can the circular part be shaped, or will it snap?)

A: Yes. The single-sided earclip on the Polsen ESM-1-TA4 easily conforms to your ear and holds the mic in place for active applications such as fitness, mobile journalism, house of worship, and more.

Q: 9. Is this a one time fee? Would there be any annual renewal or maintenance charges required in addition to the price? Is this the fee for a school district or individual?

A: It is a one time cost with no additional fees. If you are buying for a school, please contact the B&H EDU department for pricing.

Q: 10. Dumb question, would this work if I plugged this into an average aux port?

A: Whether you are referencing an Aux In port or an Aux Out port it will not work because mic signal is much lowerl than line level signal like from a headphone output for example. Because of that, the ESM-1-MN would only be compatible with a microphone input.

[Hypercardioid] Going from a Shure WL93 to a Countryman E6 is like going from a Ford Pinto to a Audi A8. The Sound is fantastic. We work in an incredibly reflective, medium sized hall, and feedback is no longer an issue. The only issue that I've personally encountered is that we are still using Shure ULX wireless transmitters/recievers, and even with the gain on both maximized, it's still not quite enough. Having to then add gain on the board adds some unwanted background noise; however, I don't blame the mics for this issue, but instead our wireless system. Overall, Great mics.
