Simply place the foam pieces in your case, place items you wish to store on top of the largest foam piece, mark gear outlines, and remove pick-and-pluck cubes as required. The insert consists of three foam pieces—a convoluted piece for the lid, a protective base pad on the bottom, and a pre-scored cubed layer for the middle. A: As Plasticase, Nanuk's manufacturer, is located in Quebec, Canada, any repair that cannot easily be done by the customer via replacement parts from the manufacturer will require you to ship the Nanuk 908 Hard Utility Case with Foam Insert (Black) back to Plasticase/Nanuk for inspection and/or repair via their Limited Lifetime Warranty.

A: Unfortunately, I am not sure. The Nanuk 920 Case for Sony a7R Camera and Lid Foam (Black), B&H # NA920ESON1, includes pre-cut foam that is designed for use with the Sony Alpha a7R Mirrorless Digital Cameras (or cameras of similar dimensions). The Sony Alpha a7R Digital Camera's dimensions are 5 x 3.7 x 1.89" (127 x 94 x 48 mm). The Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Digital Camera's dimensions are 5.43 x 3.84 x 3.46" (138 x 98 x 88 mm). The Canon EOS R5 is slightly larger than the Sony Alpha a7R Digital Camera, so your results may vary. However, as the pre-cut insert is manufactured from foam, if you need more room from your camera, it may be possible to take a sharp blade such as an X-Acto Knife or a box cutter to expand the size of the foam to fit your camera.

A: Both of the two middle layers will be pre scored for easy plucking. And to purchase just one layer individually, you would have to contact Nanuk for that.

Q: 8. would this case hold larger camera bodies and lens if I lay the bodies down flat along with the lens?

A: I think so, but not many of the larger bodies/lenses will fit. I have a Fuji XT1 and three lenses, plus filters, 5 spare batteries, and various other bits, and they all fit fine. I got the padded inserts rather than the foam. I highly recommend this case, or a bit larger one from Nanuk. It's a pleasure to use.
