Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this reverse blow or blow inwards?

A: If you are facing the LCD screen, the air is blowing toward you.

Q: 2. Will this come with a cable compatible for my country?

A: It includes a universal power supply (110-240 vac) with a U.S. plug, so you may just need to get a plug adapter, depending on what country.

Q: 3. its a simple ? can this be connected to another t9 via usb?

A: Yes. On the backside of the AIRCOM T8, T9, and T10 models, there are two USB ports. Up to six MULTIFAN or AIRPLATE fans can be plugged into it to share the same programming. A model can contain more than one fan. For example, an AIRPLATE S7 contains two fans so only three AIRPLATE S7s are supported. Before daisy chaining one more fan, please make sure the previous fan speed is set on High speed. For more information refer to the AC Infinity Aircom Series user manual.

Q: 4. Can this be used for laptops/Macs/Any surface PC?

A: The AC Infinity AIRCOM T9 A/V Top-Exhaust Component Cooling System is made primarily to cool offer AV equipment like amplifiers inside of AV receivers for example. It is meant to be installed above such a device, so as to remove hot air more quickly. This would not work as ideally in the scenario where you would be using a laptop because of the direction of the air is pulled.

Q: 5. Do you have to have 2 of these to have an intake of air and one to let out the hot air?

A: Ideally you would use 1 unit at the bottom of your rack for cool air intake and another at the top of your rack to remove the hot air.

Q: 6. Is this deadstock? The AC Infinity site shows 205 CFM. https://www.acinfinity.com/component-cooling/inline-duct-fan-systems/cloudline-t4-quiet-inline-duct-fan-system-with-temperature-and-humidity-controller-4-inch/

A: This is active stock that w have right now. Thank you for your valuable input. We will see to the CFM specification and correct it if necessary.

Q: 7. Is this an intake or exhaust unit?

A: The AC Infinity AIRPLATE T7 A/V Cabinet Dual-Fan Cooling System BH #ACAIAPT7 would work as an exhaust.

Q: 8. Do the fans run all the time, or only when the cabinet temperature requires it?

A: The fans on the Airplate T8 would run according to the temperature that is programmed and it runs at different speeds as well.

Q: 9. How do I check on the status of my order?

A: Logging into your account, you would be able to view this under order history. Or you can reach out to our customer service team at cs@bhphoto.com, or during normal business hours at 800.606.6969 / 212.444.6615

[Dual-Ball] Great temperature controller with fan, love the different functions and that one can adjust the fan to ones needs. Quiet, only adjustable full function control unit I am aware of on the market for AV equipment at this price.

[100 to 240 VAC] I installed this into the A/V cabinet in my RV (2008 Tiffin Phaeton) when I upgraded the receiver/amp and was pretty sure I was going to have some heat issues. I made myself a template out of MDF for the fan unit (using the thin plastic sizing template they include), since I couldn't take the cabinet side off to rough it in by hand on the bench. So I needed to clamp it up, auger out a starter hole, then just rout it out (in a few passes). It runs very quietly, even at full speed (which it doesn't typically need to do, I just turned the preferred temp way down to see what it sounded like) I will say -- my package was missing the little wood screws for the controller unit. I just used the included machine screws/nuts instead, but would have preferred the wood screws for that. Overall, I like the thing too much to knock off a star for that, though. I'm sure if called them they'd have sent them.

[3 to 7 VDC] All of my home av equipment is rack kept. However, I am considering moving some of it to my tv console. I hadn't considered it for years because of the lack of proper ventilation. I never could find a suitable solution that was both functional and looked aesthetically pleasing. I came across AC Infinity while again researching. Starting with packaging, it is fantastic. I haven't seen such care in packaging since I bought my Oppo BDP-93. They really took the time to give their product a premium feel. The brushed aluminum look of the grills and thermostat looks exactly like the brushed finish on my Middle Atlantic rack/faceplates. Installation and fasteners were good. The actual operation of the fans is good. I have the T3 mounted to the bottom of the cabinet to draw air in and the S7 is mounted to the back to exhaust air out. They work in tandem with both units being plugged into the thermostat. I do have a couple of critiques of the product. One, I'd love to see a modular type of system. I have a gang of wires I had to hide for a cleaner look. It would have been nice to choose the appropriate length and number of wires. The second minor issue is with the look of the finished product..I would like to see it with some sort of gasket on the units. I think that would give them a finished touch. It would also eliminate the minor light leak I get from the backlight of the thermostats LCD screen. Overall happy with the purchase. If they prove to function as good as they look, I will be buying more to do the other side of the cabinet.
