A: Both tubes are removable. One is secured with a t-handle and the other is secured with a set screw. This is designed to allow for the frames to be stored easily and half built, also so the t-handles don't interfere with one another.

Q: 9. How does the frame stay together? Is it tension based or does it have knuckles?

A: Matthews Hollywood Frame consists of four Hollywood Corners, four 6' sections of 1" square aluminum tubing. The corners tighten down on to the tubing and keeps the frame together.

Q: 10. Could this work for 1" square pipe?

A: It was designed for 1 to 1 1/4" round pipe it is not for square pipes.

[2.85 lb] I work in a pretty small market so most of the gear I have on set with me is whatever I can fit in the back of my SUV. My old, cheap, glow 8x8 butterfly frame, while compact, was falling apart (after very little use tbh) so I wanted to get something that would last forever. This corner set fits the bill and gives me the flexibility to make my frame whatever size I need, as long as I have the square tubing required. It keeps your frame kit well-contained (as long as you have the space) and takes no time to set up. 5

[2.85 lb] Very well built dolly. Solid components and very easy to use. The only downside is the weight...it is rather heavy, but manageable with two people to short distances. Worthwhile for any production company that needs grip for larger cameras. Considering that this dolly will last many years due to its build quality, the price is very attractive. 5
