The AOI is made up of a system that detects the movement of the membrane and the coil, as well as a filtered counter reaction. This is then tuned to achieve the ideal dampening rate for each frequency

The ALG is used in all regular 2-way and 3-way PSI Audio speakers. The shape and dimensions of the waveguide used in PSI Audio's custom tweeter is specially designed to optimize directivity, as well as maximize sound-pressure level, and extend bandwidth

The CPR system is made up of several all-pass filters, each acting in a specific range. Combined, they create a compensated phase response, which provides a constant group delay that is kept to the bare minimum through the entirely analog technology

The PSC technology enables remote activation and deactivation of the standby mode of your loudspeakers via the signal cable

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. It has 1x XLR 3-Pin Balanced Input. Is it for balanced AES/EBU cable with XLR connector, or XLR audio cable?

A: The Dynaudio Acoustics LYD 48 3-Way Nearfield Speaker Monitor (Left, Black) has a balanced XLR input for analog audio signal. It should not be used to connect digital audio signal from AES/EBU cable.

Q: 2. Will these monitors work with these stands? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1378627-REG/pyle_pro_pstnd32_studio_monitor_s

A: The mounting plate on the Pyle Pro Universal Monitor Speaker Stands - Pair (B&H # PYPSTND32) is 8.9 x 8.9" and will support the weight of the Dynaudio Acoustics LYD 48 Speaker Monitor, but the speaker will be hanging over the edges. The footprint of the LYD 48 is 14.5 x 12.9". You can find several options for compatible speaker stands by clicking on the "Accessories" tab above the description on the item page for the speaker, then click on the tab for "Stands & Supports" on the left side of the page.

Q: 3. Will this attach to a Rode PSA1 Studio Boom Arm?

A: Yes, the VoxGuard VU Nearfield Absorber can be attached to studio boom arms like the Rode PSA1.

Q: 4. Hi there! Did anyone used this hood on a Blackmagic Video Assist?

A: This is a great Hoodman and the price is more than fair.

Q: 5. thinking of these or the F5 to replace my audioengine a5+...i've read many good things on the f5 for a desktop/personal listening setup...but are the a5x more analytic, more pro mixing focused, so not as versatile as the f5s?

A: Both the F5 and a5x are great speakers and share some similar technology, however the amplifiers, cabinet and drivers are different on the a5x and are tailored more towards studio mixing/playback. The f5 is a popular choice for a great quality and accurate desktop speaker for home listening.

Q: 6. Does this fit nicely on SmallHD Indie 5? If not, is there another current Hoodman or non SmallHD model that does?

A: Yes, the Hoodman HRT5 Hood for 5" will accomdate the SmallHD Indie 5 nicely. We also suggest the other following item SmallHD Sun Hood for CINE 5/INDIE 5 BH #SM171232 • MFR #17-1232 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1724068-REG/smallhd_17_1232_sun_hood_for_cine.html/specs

Q: 7. Will this fit the SmallHD Ultra 5?

A: Because the SmallHD ULTRA 5 Bright Touchscreen Monitor is 5.9" wide and the Hoodman HRT5 Hood for 5" Red Touchscreen Monitor is only 5"wide, it can in theory fit the SmallHD ULTRA 5 Bright Touchscreen Monitor but in an undesired way.

Q: 8. what is the ohm ratings for these speakers?

A: The input impedance rating for the Adam Professional Audio T8V T-Series Active Nearfield Monitor is listed as 10 kOhm / 20 kOhm.

Q: 9. Can you use EVF and RED monitor (7 inch DSMC3 or SmallHD with RED camera control)?

A: Yes, the RED DIGITAL CINEMA RED Compact EVF Pack can be used along with the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD Monitor and SmallHD monitors and have controls on both the screens and the EVF.

Q: 10. Will this work with the SmallHD Action 5 monitor?

A: Yes.

[3.5 kHz] So Ive had these for a little under a year now, and my god am I impressed. If you were to tell me these were 400 a pair I would have told you youre out of your mind. BUT, these are no joke. Very crisp, clear sound and perfect for mixing EDM. Might I suggest buying a T10S for the ultimate sub $1k 2.1 studio monitoring system

[Red] I bought it for my guitar gig recording at home, but I really enjoy listening my hifi collection on this.
Great sound and bass is very fast and punchy for a 10x25 loft.
Couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Cheers

[Vertical] Can’t be beat for the price. The sub completes the ensemble perfectly

[MDF] First off, I am not an audio professional but did my undergrad in recording technology so I have a good amount of experience listening to excellent monitors in well-treated rooms. Previous near-field monitors owned include JBL-4326p, Dynaudio BM5A MkII and JBL LSR-305, with the application mainly being audio for video, casual listening and some audio mixing. Being that I am currently set up in an untreated office (something I hope to change soon) I was apprehensive about trying a 2.1 setup since I know a sub can create all kinds of issues in an untreated environment; however this set still performs very well and absolutely is an improvement over my previous monitors in terms of imaging, dynamics and transient response. At first I was a bit put off by the sound of the A5Xs: they came across a bit sterile and lacking any emotion (they are tools first and foremost, after all). This was a bummer since I hoped to do some casual listening on them, but after giving my ears some time to acclimate I am enjoying them much more now, particularly in the high frequencies... very very detailed without the usual fatigue associated with this level of detail. They really provide a crystal clear cutout of each musical element in play, allowing me to hear deep into the mix. The Sub8 sounded pretty disjointed to me at first, but once I dialed in a decent placement and figured out it needed the phase inverted in my case it blends seamlessly with the A5X (with the crossover and monitor high-pass both set at 85Hz). Overall I am very happy with this set and would gladly recommend it. Can't wait to hear what is possible with some room treatment!

[1.8%] I bought a pair of these in 2014 and have used them every day for over 8 years. They are accurate and translate well. I supplement mine with a sub for some extended low end.

I am thankful companies like PSI exist and make products at this level of quality.

[3.5 kHz] Firstly, I received them a day earlier than expected and they sound beautiful.
Great deal in my opinion.

[Vertical] I wish I would have purchased these monitors years ago. I pulled up several mixes I had done and within minutes of using the A5X's I was able to make changes that had the songs translate so much better across a variety of systems. I tried these "head to head" with the Focal Shape 50 monitors and the A5X's sounded better in my room. These monitors make it much easier to hear where instruments and levels should be placed. There's a surprising amount of tight low end for such a small driver, too. Highly recommended.

[96 dBA] I don't use these monitors to record. I use these as computer speakers to listen to music, movie and etc. I hook them up with a DAC and use RCA. The sound is very clean (I hear things in my music that I never heard before!) The high and mid are sweet. The bass is ok. I have all setting on flat and vol on 0dB. I control the vol from the DAC. I like these monitors. I listen to the A7X and it sound better, but didn't fit my budget.

[Red] If you're looking at these you know what they are. No better mid field monitor exists.
