The single, black PSI Audio A17-M is a classic powered near-field monitor designed to be tonally balanced, with high-resolution detail and an efficient transient response for accuracy in surround setups. The bi-amplifier delivers 80W to the 6.9" woofer and 40W to the 3.9" tweeter, which combine to provide a frequency response of 43 Hz to 23 kHz at an SPL of 115 dB per pair.

The amplifier output also features Adaptive Output Impedance (AOI) output stages, while the active crossover with integrated Compensated Phase Response (CPR) delivers an impulse behavior with accurate stereo imaging. The crossover is optimized for maximum phase coherence, projecting a wide horizontal and vertical listening area.

The rear panel offers a balanced XLR input and features audio-level control and roll-off control for optimizing low frequencies, for standalone use or when using an optional subwoofer. The PSI Audio A17-M ships with a power cord, anti-slippage stickers, and an individual frequency-response diagram.

However, if the playback device you are using has a wired output in addition to Bluetooth, you can send the output from the device using a cable. [MDF] Going to the PSI Audio is an upgrade from the Adam A7Xs Id been using for 5 years. While Id say the Adams are 95% of the way to unadulterated flat audio the PSIs bring it up to 98%. For some that small difference might not be worth the large difference in price. All depends on your resources and how you choose to use them. For me monitors and sound treatment are of upmost importance to the realization of my productions. They are the window from which I view sound and a foggy window, or a small window, will impede the seeing of what is there. The PSIs offer a remarkably clean and balanced 3 dimensional imaging. Ive noticed little ear fatigue, even after many hours, unlike the Adams, which can tend to sound brittle after some hours of listening. I use the PSIs as near-fields and find them actually well suited to a 3 distance I normally work at (even though they are recommended for a further distance). With the Adams I employed a sub (either a Genelec or the Adam Sub8). With the PSIs I dont feel the need for a sub. 5

[Active 2-Way] I was shopping around to upgrade from my aging M-Audio BX8's, these things are in a completely different league.� The ribbon tweeters and waveguide produce such a large, perfect sounding sweet spot.� I don't ever want to take my head out of in front of these things.� Size wise, they're a step down from my BX8's, and I am missing feeling freqs below 30-40htz.� I'm considering a sub to correct this.� Hopefully ADAM decides to make a T-Series sub. 5

[3 kHz] I moved my studio monitors, Adam ANF10s, to my listening room. Therefore, I needed to replace them in my studio. I auditioned several different monitors. KRK, Yamaha, etc. Before purchasing, I listened to the Adam T5V. These monitors had the familiar Adam sound that I was used to. Their clarity was second to none and put the other monitors I auditioned in the back seat. I cannot recommend the Adam T5V monitors enough. Definitely a great monitor choice. 5

[19.5 lb] I bought a pair of these in 2014 and have used them every day for over 8 years. They are accurate and translate well. I supplement mine with a sub for some extended low end. I am thankful companies like PSI exist and make products at this level of quality. 5

[Vertical] I've used yamahas, rokits, mackies and a few other brands and they were ok. These however really sound fantastic. They are heavy and made of good quality materials. I wish they had a protective shield of some kind to protect from kids poking their fingers in there. Low end sounds nice and tight - I was not expecting that from 5 speakers! Higher and mid frequencies sound really crisp and clean. Really happy with the purchase so far! 5

[Active 2-Way] An excellent option for studio monitors at this price point and a great alternative to the KRK yellow cones. The Adams sound like they are optimized for creating electronic music: excellent bass response and they sound great at all volumes. 5
