Styled in white, left LYD 48 from Dynaudio Acoustics is a 3-way studio monitor well suited for near-field and midfield applications. The 8" woofer and 4" midrange woofer are made from a magnesium silicate polymer, which provides stiff, yet light weight performance, while the soft dome tweeter offers smooth, balanced highs. Each driver is powered by a separate Class-D amplifier and when combined, offers a frequency response of 32 Hz to 21 kHz with a maximum SPL of 112 dB (pair at 1m).

The rear panel offers balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs. Additional controls for bass extension, placement, and balance allow you to contour the speakers' output to your room without changing the phase, thereby ensuring power, precision, and accuracy at any volume.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use it as desktop speakers?

A: Yes. These will work on a desktop. Isolation pads are usually a good option to ensure the desk does not resonate with the speakers. I would recommend using an audio interface for the best sound out of a computer, but a cable like this can be a less costly solution to output sound from a computer: https://bhpho.to/3yudNDe

Q: 2. Do the speakers come with the usb cable? Thank you.

A: Yes, this model comes with all you need to get started out of the box.

Q: 3. is it pair?

A: The Genelec 8000-409B are sold individually.

Q: 4. How do you connect these speakers to the a/v ports on the back of a television?

A: A cable like this one: https://bhpho.to/37REQBi

Q: 5. on the back of the speaker that has on has a ac adapter and the other wire that has 2 wires how do they connect to the speaker.?

A: Both wires just plug-in. As you say, one is for the AC adapter and the other is the wore which goes to the woofer.

Q: 6. How do I connect this with the monitor? And will this work with any monitor?

A: The Cyber Acoustics Sound Bar USB Speaker with Monitor Mount mounts to your monitor and connects (via USB) to your computer. If your monitor has a built-in USB hub, the Sound Bar can be connected to one of the monitor's USB ports; otherwise it would interface directly with the computer.

Q: 7. Can you use this speaker on a stereo?

A: This speaker will handle about 110 Watts from an amplifier. It is a single channel speaker, so two would be required for stereo use.

Q: 8. Will these monitors work with these stands? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1378627-REG/pyle_pro_pstnd32_studio_monitor_s

A: The mounting plate on the Pyle Pro Universal Monitor Speaker Stands - Pair (B&H # PYPSTND32) is 8.9 x 8.9" and will support the weight of the Dynaudio Acoustics LYD 48 Speaker Monitor, but the speaker will be hanging over the edges. The footprint of the LYD 48 is 14.5 x 12.9". You can find several options for compatible speaker stands by clicking on the "Accessories" tab above the description on the item page for the speaker, then click on the tab for "Stands & Supports" on the left side of the page.

Q: 9. Are these speakers 110-240?

A: The power supply is 100-120v only.

Q: 10. So, I have to ask - what is the difference between this stand and a standard mic stand? Realistically, it seems one could use any mic stand (table or floor) with a 3/8" thread. Thanks!

A: The base plate for this will have a better balance than a normal mic stand for the larger speakers like the xx4x and xx5x size speakers. The pole is thicker than a standard mic stand and has a locking pin as an added safety measure. A standard mic stand pole may not support the weight of these monitors. Microphone stands are not designed to support the weight of a monitor. They may easily tip or start to slide down

[Horizontal] The bass content on these speakers acts like they are twice the size. Very clear and defined. Easily the most accurate near field speakers I've ever used (and I've used a pair at work for 3 years, and had to replace my very good Event 20/20s with them).

[40 Hz to 21 kHz] I am a Dubstep producer/dj, I purchased these as an upgrade from a lower price range. I found them to be ideal for my room size and I dont know any other musician that doesn't respect the Dynaudio Brand. After my purchase the hopes came true and beyond. Crisp clean sound, and they have a very quick response. I'll be sitting in my studio playing them at mid levels, and I'll feel comfortable without too much stress on the ears, and yet I can hear everything I need without turning it up any louder. Also if my mix sounds good on these I know its gonna sound good elsewhere. Keep in mind these speakers are louder than you realize when you are right next to them. Mind your neighbors they can get loud! They move some air, if you're careful with them they will make you never regret your purchase. Great frequency response too, I am very impressed with these boxes! 5 stars

[20 x 17 x 13.2"] I use these monitors to mix in my home studio. I've been around studios with Genelecs and love the sound, but mixing requires you to get down and dirty. My room is a little smaller so the BM6a's are the perfect size with real tight bass, a very clear mid range, and a clean high end. Overall I couldn't be happier with my choice.

[28.9 lb] terrific for near field monitoring, even in small (170 sq. ft) rooms. tight low end, lots of detail. more power than i ever need.

[Horizontal] These monitors are the best, most well balanced monitors under $4000. I've used many monitors and none compare to the Dynaudio bm6a's! Forget about the JBL self tunning monitors that are the same price cause you're paying for a lot of junk. The Mosfet amps in the monitors are sonically beautiful. If your not using Dynaudio then you are doing yourself a great injustice, and with B&H offering the best price on these you have no excuse to not be!!!

[112 dB] Absolutely love my Nady personal monitor. It was the best price and shipping was included. I will use B&H for all my electronic needs in the future.

[20 x 17 x 13.2"] This is used in conjunction with 2 others for my front set up of surround. I've used these speakers in the studio for years, and finally got some for my home studio. Clearest (and lowest reaching) Bass response of any speaker in its class. The accuracy of these rival speakers that cost easily 3 times as much. I've been doing professional audio work for years, and these speakers have always treated me well.
