Lightweight, weatherproof, versatile, and powered by widely available batteries, the Pelican 2760 Gen 3 LED Headlamp Blackwill meet a wide range of professional, recreational and around-the-house needs. Its white-light LED shines at high (204 lumens), medium (142 lumens) and low (95 lumens) settings, along with a 42-lumen downcast setting (handy for holding a conversation with someone without shining the light in their eyes.) There is also a flashing mode for extra visibility or emergency signaling, and a red-light mode for preserving night-acclimated vision. Runtimes range from 11 hours on downcast to two hours on high, and the lamp is equipped with a full-time battery level indicator. The polycarbonate housing is IPX4-rated splash-proof and impact resistant in drops of up to 3.3 feet.

A: The answer to both your questions is no. So I think it isn't the best light for you. Otherwise it is a great light.

Q: 2. Can rechargeable cr123 batteries be used with this flashlight?

A: Yes you can use rechargeable batteries.

Q: 3. is it can charging with 230V using in Europe ?

A: Unfortunately, the charger for this light is only for 110VAC. A transformer would be needed in order to charge the battery on 230V. The TOPOW ST-200 Step Up / Down Transformer (200W) B&H # TOST200 is an option to consider.

Q: 4. The Pelican video shows a recharging kit, which does not appear in B&H's list of accessories. Are you going to sell the recharging kit?

Q: 5. Where do you find a charger for the RALS 9440? Its a Unicorn apparently

Q: 6. Can the red be turned on without cycling through the different modes?

A: Once the flashlight is set to LOW mode, that would allow you easier access to the red light.

Q: 7. How do you open the battery compartment?? Not in the instructions or YouTube videos for other Pelican headlights. Do not want to break it. The obvious clip doesn’t budge. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

A: There is a clip on the top of the light. You must pop it over the notch to open.

Q: 8. Can this light use rechargeable batteries? As I understand it, rechargeables have a lower voltage than alkalines which are specified.

A: Yes it can use rechargeable batteries, the voltage change will not effect the flashlight operation

A: BATTERY INSTALLATION1. Open the battery cover.2. Remove old batteries (dispose of properly) and replace with three1.5v AAA size alkaline batteries according to the polarity label.3. Close the battery cover

[Plastic] Just got one of these. I don't like a separate battery pack and I normally go for Princeton Tec but this was on offer so I bought one. It's my new favourite headtorch. Super bright beam on high power, three power levels, the downcast is handy for close work and it's got a red light for night photography. Thoroughly recommended - I've already added another one to the basket for my next order! 5

[3x AAA] Works as promised. Lights work well, the bright light is bright and the red light is good - could be brigther but then it would defeat the purpose of maintaining vision in the dark. A little tight when opening up the battery compatment first time around but seems to work well. I would buy again. 5

[0.31 lb] Great product...have attached one to hard hat and the light is superb. Love the different settings depending on light level needs and easy open backside to replace batteries...have bought two more! 5

[ 2 to 11 Hours] I bought the Pelican Headlamp to help me with a specific task which required me seeing inside a sealed item to spot bent recessed connector pins and straighten them. Simultaneously holding a flashlight and a magnifying glass made the task very difficult. The Pelican Headlamp focuses a bright light right where I am looking and leaves my hands free to do what needs to be done. Brilliant. Today I saw an unexpected benefit. The chain came off my chainsaw. Rather than having my wife hold a flashlight while I reinstalled the chain (I’m not the most accomplished do-it-yourselfer), I put on my headlamp and did it all myself. Besides helping me, I’m sure it made life easier for may wife who would have been getting my disgruntled instructions as to where to shine the flashlight. I’m sure I will find many uses for the Pelican headlamp. If I knew about this before, I could have saved beaucoup aggravation (my wife’s as well). The unit is lightweight. The focus can be adjusted up or down. There are different levels of brightness. And the head strap is widely adjustable and would fit most size heads and helmets. The user can select red light rather than white to preserve night vision, but I doubt I’ll ever need this capability. In summary, I love my Pelican Headlamp. 5
