The white ISOVOX 2 from ISOVOX is a portable vocal isolation booth designed for vocal recording with reduced room reflections and bleed for vocalists, voiceover artists, and narrators in commercial facilities, personal studios, homes, hotels, and tour buses. It allows you to produce vocals with less leakage by providing up to 35 dB of sound reduction.

Zippers and touch fasteners enable simple assembly and disassembly, so you can easily move the ISOVOX 2 to other locations. Removable side panels allow access to your microphone and an open view for shooting photos and video of the artist. An integrated microphone holder fits most studio mics, and a precut cable channel prevents cable strain. Illumination is provided via the supplied LED lamp with AAA batteries. The assembled ISOVOX 2 mounts on a standard PA loudspeaker stand (available separately).

A: The ISOVOX2 is setup in our headphone area, on a pole which is mounted to the top of a cabinet rack.

A: No, the stand is not included with the Glide Gear SB 150 Portable Vocal Isolation Sound Booth. It is compatible for use with both C-stands and speaker stands, and it comes with a carry bag as well as a Glide Gear Speaker Stand to 1/4"-20 Adapter.

Q: 5. Is there enough room for a small chair/table & hand movement? Does the blanket actually absorb sound or more like dampening it?

A: The Glide Gear SB 150 Portable Vocal Isolation Sound Booth is 68" in height and creates a 28 x 26" recording space. The legs for the stand you use will be a factor in how much space there is on the floor. You might be able to get a chair inside and you could attach an accessory tray to the stand to hold lighter weight items or a cup holder to hold a drink. The blanket will absorb and dampen the sound to help prevent sound from leaking from the booth and into other mics or from other sounds being picked up by the mic inside of the booth, but it will not completely block all sound.

A: Pyle Pro does not state the actual weight, but it is right around 5 lbs. Although not very heavy, the weight is not distributed evenly over the center, so it is recommended to use a heavy base mic stand, or tripod stand with no boom.

A: The ClearSonic IsoPac B Isolation Package is quite effective at reducing the sound of drums being played and having the sound spill out to be picked up by microphones for vocals and other instruments, so it will be effective in reducing the sound throughout a house if the drums are located in the basement. Do keep in mind that the IsoPac B is not going to block out the sound completely.

[5/8" Thread] the days of sound booths are over. We do a lot of voice overs and our older studio had a sound booth in it. Technology has taken a huge jump and this simple yet sturdy setup with pro-tools or just final cut works excellent. Love it..!!!! 5

[White] I've been using this box to record voice over commercials for my podcast, NYC Video Podcast. I use a Shure SM7B mic which is high quality, but my attic walls cause a lot of unwanted echos and makes my voice sound unprofessional. As soon as I step into my IsoVox booth, my voice sounds rich and clear. My one grip with this booth is that it isn't very compatible with the SURE SM7B mic because the mic is too big to mount nicely on the center post. I picked up a $15 mic stand and propped it into the booth and ran the cables down and into a clear container box (pictured) and ran the cables out the back end of my desk into my sound recorder board (Rodecaster Pro.) The elevated height of the ISOVOX propped atop of the clear container allows me to sit comfortable at my desk and record voiceovers. I'm very happy with this purchase. 5

[5/8" Thread] I have to record some voiceovers from time to time, but I dont have an excellent isolated and treated acoustic room. Then I had a lot of sound reflections and my audios were so awful. But with this kit I have leveled up the sound quality of my audios. Im very pleased with this product. 5

[24.3 lb / 11 kg] If you have an otherwise quite recording room (such as at night), but want to get rid of the room reverberation, this will work quite well. Perfect for home recording. In fact, I would say it works so well that it would be helpful inside a WhisperRoom, wherein the WS provides the sound attenuation for noise control, but the IsoVox 2 provides the anechoic aspect without using up real estate for thick wall foam or fiberglass. The only issue is that it gets hot inside quickly. So for short takes of a song, then come and out for a minute---no problem. But if you are planning on a half-hour long podcast in one go, not likely. Nevertheless, it yields tremendous anechoic advantage for not much scratch, and your projects will benefit tremendously for it. This is a professional-level tool in acoustic quality and build. Don't skimp on a cheap speaker stand---get the biggest and baddest you can afford. 5
