Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this sleeve also be used for shorter lenses like a 50mm 1.2L on a 5DM2?

A: I am not sure of the overall length of the set up you are describing. However, this system is very flexible. You will note that it has a drawsting on the lens end. This can be drawn down onto just about any lens. The rest is just velcro and fabric. Should work.

Q: 2. Will this interfere with my Auto focus? It seems cinching something around the lens hood would prevent the lens (Canon EF 75-300 USM with dedicated lens hood) for properly auto-focusing. I want to use this to shoot wildlife at a feeder from a tripod using a wireless remote.

A: No, the LensCoat RainCoat RS does not impair or prohibit autofocus capability.

Q: 3. Will this medium sleeve work well with Nikon D500 and Nikon 500 f5.6 PFED LENS?

A: That sleeve will work with the D500 and the Nikon 500mm F5.6 P F ED as the total length is less than 15 inches.

Q: 4. I have a Nikon P-1000, what size should I consider if the lens is fully extended?

A: The LensCoat RainCoat Medium Sleeve would be fine for the P1000 with the zoom fully extended.

Q: 5. Hi what size should i buy my husband for a 14-24 mm 2.8 on a D810? Thx so much

A: the medium size will be slightly big but it will be also comfortable for your hand during the work . the small size will fit exactly but it will not be comfortable during the work

Q: 6. Will this work with Nikon D5300/sigma 10-600mm lens/tamron 16-300mm lens. Also how does it work when taking pictures? Thank you

A: I don't own the equipment you mentioned but the lenses are probably long enough with the zoom to require a larger rain hood. I would check the specs for the hood sizes either at B&H or the manufacture's web site. It does tie some practice to get it on the camera but it does work well as long as the rain or spray is not being driven directly at the lens.

Q: 7. Will the medium rain sleeve work with a Nikon d 610 and a long tank like 80 to 200d?

A: I've used this raincoat on my D750 with a 70-200mm lens to shoot football games in the rain. Once I got used to working with the cover and my hands inside for focusing and shooting I had no issues and the camera and lens stayed nice and dry.

Q: 8. How well does it work with an Olympus OMD E-1 MkII and 300 mm lens or shorter?

A: It will work, the small may work as well, it depends on which 300mm lens you have.

Q: 9. Is its size large for a Nikon D7100 with a Nikon 70-300 if ed vr?

A: The medium cover should work fine with the 70-300mm.

Q: 10. Is it useful for a Nikon D7100 with a Sigma 17-50 and a Nikon 70-300 VR?

A: Yes you can use it for both configurations but of course when using it with the 17-50mm, it will droop over more but will still be usable.
