The Cooke 100mm T2.6 Panchro/i Classic Prime Lens PL Mountcombines the warm look of a vintage Cooke Speed Panchro with the convenience of the i/Technology lens data capture system. This modern redesign works with both digital cinema and film cameras, features focus scales marked in feet, and covers image formats up to full frame. One of several focal lengths available, the 100mm prime incorporates a nine-blade iris for cinematic bokeh. For optimal performance, aberration, flare, and distortion-correction extends over the entire image area and throughout the 100mm's T2.6-22 aperture range. The Panchro/i Classic Primes are color-matched with Cooke's S4/i, 5/i, mini S4/i, and Anamorphic/i lenses.

Each Panchro/i Classic Prime lens sports both a hardened PL mount and a cable connection that use Cooke's /i Technology to transmit lens data including focal length, aperture, focus, and depth-of-field to compatible cameras. The 100mm Panchro/i Classic Prime Lens features a 29.3" minimum focus distance, a relatively light weight of 3.9 pounds, and a compact length of 6.1". This lens is constructed with 0.8-mod geared focus and iris rings for use with follow focus, zoom control, and wireless F/I/Z systems. A large lens barrel, an increased number of focus marks, and Cooke's cam-style focus movement enable precise focus pulls.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what happens if I put this on my R5 with the adapter? any vignetting or will it just be wider than 100mm?

A: If the Meike 100mm T2.1 Super35 Cinema Prime Lens (EF Mount) is mounted on the Canon R5 in full frame mode, there will be vignetting as the lens is designed for Super 35 sized sensors. You can place the Canon R5 in crop mode in the menu as seen here: https://bhpho.to/3TkCU85, in order to crop the sensor to only capture the APS-C portion of the sensor to remove any vignetting.

Q: 2. is this compatible with red dsmc2?

A: Yes, RED DSMC2 cameras when outfitted with the Red DSMC® AL Leica M Mount will be able to use the Cooke M Mount for SP3 Primes.

Q: 3. Is there a photo version? Sigma Art 65mm EF? With AF etc

A: There is no photography version in EF mount of the Sigma 65mm ART lens.

Q: 4. Does the lens data contain lens distortion information?

A: The Cooke 21mm T2.2 Panchro/i Classic Prime Lens uses /i Technology which is a metadata protocol that enables film and digital cameras to automatically record key lens data for every frame shot. /i Technology data includes focal length, focus distance, zoom position, near and far focus, hyper focal distance, T-stop, horizontal field of view, entrance pupil position, distortion and shading data.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Metabones 0.64 speedbooster on Blackmagic 4K?

A: The Metabones 0.64 adapter will work with full frame lenses as well as APS-C lenses like the Meike 25mm T2.1 Super35 Prime Cine Lens. You may use APS-C lenses, but you can only shoot exclusively in 4K.

Q: 6. Which Sigma hard case does the 65mm fit?

A: It would work with the Sigma PMC-002 Hard Case for 5x FF High Speed Prime Cine Lenses. If you own the five lens set you would need to remove one lens to fit the additional 65mm lens. Also you could use the following case to store extra lenses like the 65mm or the lens you remove from PMC-002 to fit the 65mm. Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case with Foam Set (Black) B&H # PE1510FB

Q: 7. Would this lens vignette on a BMPCC 4K with a Metabones speedbooster 0.64?

A: This lens covers a full frame sensor, it should not vignette when using a speed booster adapter with the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 8. Does this product come with rear caps?

A: Yes, a rear lens cap is included with the Cooke M Mount for SP3 Primes.

Q: 9. Refurbished in what way? Also, what serial number is it? I have a 6 lens set and I need a 180mm to complete it on the long end.

A: This lens right here is not refurbished. We do not have the serial number to give out but you will receive it in the box when you order. Our items come directly from the manufacturer, even the refurbished models.

Q: 10. What’s the magnification factor on the macro?

A: Cooke says the magnification of the Cooke 85mm T2.8 Anamorphic/i 1.8x Full Frame SF Macro Prime Lens 1:4.

[105 mm] I've used ROKINON lenses which were quite above average. The Sirui anamorphic lens was even better. I just finished my first feature using the Sirui. Now that I just used this Meike FF on my Bmpcc4k for my trailer.... I am just blown away by the depth of field, bokeh and color depth of this lens. The quality, the weight, the build quality is on par to a much more expensive cine lens. This is the range of a 5k plus cine lens. I'm planning on buying the other focal lengths as well

[Imperial] I purchased the 31mm Dulens lens & don't regret it. I enjoy the color rendition of this lens. It's a sharp lens and it has a dare I say Vintage look lol. Its a small & light weight lens and packs a punch. It doesn't Flare as much as I thought it would - to mitigate some flaring just add a
Matte Box when shooting out doors. I also like alternating from Full frame 31mm to Super 35 and get closer to a 50mm look with this lens. It lives on my Lumix s5iiX camera 70% of the time. It pairs well with the FotodioX Pro Lens mount Adapter Arri PL to L mount cameras. Keep in mind the Aperture ring is a little tight to turn but I would say its a good thing when using this lens - you don't want the aperture ring to turning easily when in use. This lens is definitely worth considering when shopping for your next budget Cinema Lens. Cheers!

[100mm] best lens for bmcc 6k FF, recommend 10/10. warm lens

[Yes] I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who consults for many of the most well-known lens manufacturers (think of the names you know). While it's not anamorphic, it is a beautiful, well-behaved, full-frame lens, and a welcome addition to the lens locker. Crisp, without being clinical, and having a gorgeous vintage vibe from the lens coatings. I'll echo what others have said regarding the close proximity of the aperture ring to the lens mount, but other than that, I've really enjoyed it, so far.
