The Jensen Transformers CI-2RR 2-Channel RCA Ground Isolatoris a passive, unbalanced stereo isolator, which prevents and eliminates hum and buzz caused by ground loops. It ensures that music is faithfully delivered without distortion, coloration or artifact, when used with audiophile systems, home theaters, computer sound cards or any other unbalanced audio signals.

The CI-2RR features a pair of high-performance Jensen transformers, which deliver pristine audio from 10 Hz to 40 kHz, with low distortion across all frequencies. Furthermore, the transformers are shielded in a MuMETAL can to protect against external magnetic fields and prevent "spectral contamination" due to ultrasonic and RF interference.

Easy to set up, with no power required, the Jensen Transformers Iso-Max CI-2RR comes with gold-plated RCA connectors to ensure optimal transfer of the audio signal. The unit is equipped with a rugged steel enclosure that is fitted with screw-down flanges for easy installation in racks or for mounting under shelves and cabinetry.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this book the second edition that covers v.2 update for the camera?

A: As far as I know, there is not updated version, just like his series of FS7 instructional videos on YouTube, he say there may be minor updates from Sony, however the basics are still in effect. You can write to Doug himself by googling his address via Vortex Media.

Q: 2. What happens when it gets hit with 48v? Will it pass through to the computer?

A: This product is to convert a 3.5mm line level signal out from a computer to an XLR mic level signal. No 48 volt phantom power should be involved in this procedure.

Q: 3. Good for info on shooting flat and MLUTS? I'm looking at this book and Doug Jensen's Master Class on Vimeo. I'm basically trying to figure out which one to buy as I don't need or want both. I'd rather buy the less expensive book if it has the info I need. What I'm really looking for is some clarification on Cine EI and S-Log and it's function, MLUTs and Look Profiles and scene files and how they operate. I've been working with Sony cameras for a long time. Most of the operation is all very familiar to me, but I'm new to shooting flat and I don't really understand how one thing affects another when it comes to MLUTS and s-log, etc. Any help in making a decision would be greatly appreciated.

A: Hey Brad,Basically I was in the same boat as you, I know Sony cameras inside and out but was new to a camera that shot s-log and had the ability to show a client an MLUT on a monitor so they weren't looking at a flat, unflattering and washed out image that no matter how much you tell them won't look like that when you've finished adding a LUT. Dougs book is great especially when you are out in the field and you need a quick refresher, something you can't do with the video presentation that he also has. I also like the fact that at the end of each chapter Doug, gives his own personal recommendations which really do help. He really is able to break down the camera within each chapter and write it in a way that you automatically understand. Lastly Brad, this FS7 camera comes with way more menu options than even I thought it did and Doug breaks down what every single thing means. He also let's you know how many mbps each shooting style records at. I would definitely recommend this book to you or a friend. Good luck and enjoy the camera, I bloody love it!

Q: 4. How do we attach the Ronin2 mount on this thing?

A: A Ronin 2 can not be mounted directly to the Kessler Crane KillShock Isolator System unless it is mounted upside down so that the Ronin 2 can hand down from the mounting plate. If you were to mount the Ronin 2 in this way you can use the CineMilled R2 Main Mount for DJI Ronin 2 (BH #CICM021) to attach the Ronin 2 to the Kessler Crane KillShock Isolator System.

Q: 5. What is the supported payload?

A: Hi Jonathan, The Cloud Mount is designed to be scaleable to whatever you need to put on it. The "standard" versions are appropriate for a system like a Movi Pro with a compact camera body (like Red or C300 etc) with compact glass. The Cloud Mount Pro comes with cabling which can accommodate gimbals as large as Movi XL with full size camera bodies. Every build and placement are unique but I hope that helps.

Q: 6. Will this device eliminate the 60 Htz hum from my mixer to the Atem Mini pro audio inmput?

A: If the 60Hz hum is a result of a ground loop in your system, then yes the Teenage Engineering Ground Loop Noise Isolator With Stereo Cable will work.

Q: 7. What is the weight of this isolator?

A: This unit is 7.5lb.

Q: 8. I've seen reviews say that this doesn't come with a power supply. Is that true?

A: This interface comes with a power supply.

Q: 9. What is the weight allowed for this? Can it be used for Tilta Hydra Alien?

A: The CAME-TV Isolator Cradle GS14 bears 5.5kg and can be adapted to Tilta Hydra Alien.

Q: 10. I just bought 1 of these a few days ago from you. It showed up today and the 3.5mm end is not solid black like the one in the picture? Why is it different. I really wanted the black end. Could you see if that is still available like that? Thanks

A: It is not unusual for a manufacturer to change a small non-critical production feature or cosmetic component that wouldn't affect performance. We do not have another version available.

[10 Hz to 40 kHz] I have an Onkyo NR5008 serving as a preamp to a Parasound 2250 stereo amp driving my Left and Right channel Tekton Design Double Impact speakers (high sensitivity 4 ohm speakers). Due to the potential current draws, these are on separate 20 amp circuits. The Jensen CI-2RR removed all the hum without changing the tonal balance or shaving off the high frequencies based on REW measurements. Bought this based on the success I had with the Iso-Max Sub-2RR I use to connect the Onkyo with my 1,000 watt subwoofer amplifier (plugged into a third 20 amp circuit). Both Iso-Max units eliminated the hum without sonically damaging the signal which was not true for the less expensive isolating transformers I tried first.

[10 Hz to 40 kHz] There was a ground loop after I added the Parasound A21+ to my system. Using my Denon AVR 6500H as the preamp, there was a noisy signal traced to the ground midpoint on the DirecTV antenna cable at the home cable entrance. It is a difficult ground loop because the shield of the DirecTV coaxial cable carries the power for the roof antenna. It would not help to make a single star ground because there is always a length of powered shield between the home theater/stereo boxes and the outdoor grounded entrance (grounded there at the outside wall by electrical) code. Fortunately, the Iso-Max breaks the ground loop at the input the A21+, so other potential ground problems may be cleared as well. While I was very hesitant to add anything to the input analog signal path, this seems to be the best and most practical solution. So far, I do not hear any difference, no perceived distortion or loss of fidelity.

[2 (stereo)] It does what it's supposed to, providing good isolation. I haven't verified the specs (which are quite good) but I haven't noticed any audible degradation.

[2 (stereo)] Solved the problem of the DirecTV receiver causing ground loop (because of the ground at the home entry). Using a Denon AVR 6500H as the preamp for Parasound A21+, placed the Jensen Transformers Iso-Max CI-2RR - 2-Channel Ground Isolator about a couple of feet from the Parasound RCA input and 3 feet from the Denon (all bluejeans LC-1 capbles). Dead silence now during quiet periods.

The good part about placing the isolation break at the input to the power amplifier is that the Jensen should still be effective should there be other ground problems now or later, beyond the Directv receiver.

[0.8 lb] I was getting hum from my REL T9 subwoofer. REL customer service helped me track down the cause to electrical noise originating from my coax Xfinity cable connection and flowing through my cable box and my AV receiver and out to my subwoofer. After adding this ground isolator the hum immediately disappeared.

[2 (stereo)] I have Denon & Atmos speaker setup, cablebox from Comcast & a subwoofer. The cheap $20 isolator available online didn't do a good job since comcast signal was degraded per their tech. He said that it introduced some noise feed back to their other customers. Not sure how much of that is true but he did say that if I were to get an isolator get something over 1000mhz and this one fit the spec. I installed it and so far all is great. No issues with performance but the box label instructed to read instruction which were not in the box. So I went to their website and read it.
