The DMON-QUAD allows you to create custom layouts that will let you resize and reposition the windows in a multi view. You can have any number of windows up to the number of inputs, in this case four. So it's straightforward to create a layout that puts two windows on screen next to each other centred vertically. A: Yes, but the capture express encoding engine is fairly cpu intensive plus the preview may lag the machine. It didn't work that well with a 16core/32thread machine.

A: The Decimator DMON-Quad can be used to show any number of windows from 1-4 and the windows can be arranged in custom layouts to give you control over how they are positioned.

A: The previous answer is incorrect. All PCIe generations are backwards compatible. Pinning from PCIe 1.0 to PCIe 4.0 are the same, differences are in clock speed and data encoding.As to your question, yes a x4 card will work fine in a x16 slot, though it's a waste of the other 12 channels (depending on motherboard).

Q: 10. Could this be used as a mini switcher? Needing to be able to go between two inputs using the buttons on the decimator without any break in signal to the output.

A: No. That would not be recommended, as this is not wired like a proper switcher and you will more than likely have a break in signal when switching from one source to the other.
