Q: 1. Will this card show up as a camera in Microsoft Teams and work as a Teams camera input device?

A: While we have not bench tested this product for the result asked about in this inquiry, we have tested several external Magewell card with similar acquisition specs and those did come up as proper input devices on Zoom and some other conferencing software.

Q: 2. Does it come with a mounting plate?

A: The DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer does not come with a mounting plate.

Q: 3. Does this come with a power cable?

A: Hi Jose, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The DMON-Quad ships with a worldwide power supply in the box, it has a locking DC plug to connect to the DMON-Quad. I hope this helps. Kind regards Jules

Q: 4. Will this work well with a 2017 iMac 27 inch i5 processor, or does it pull too much CPU power?

A: no this will not work on an iMac as it requires a PCIe Gen2 x4 slot. your solution for an iMac would be an external thunderbolt capture solution

Q: 5. Does this card output video also?

A: It does not. This is a capture card only, it is not for playback.

Q: 6. !an I use this card for pcie gen3 16x?

A: The previous answer is incorrect. All PCIe generations are backwards compatible. Pinning from PCIe 1.0 to PCIe 4.0 are the same, differences are in clock speed and data encoding. As to your question, yes a x4 card will work fine in a x16 slot, though it's a waste of the other 12 channels (depending on motherboard).

Q: 7. Could this be used as a mini switcher? Needing to be able to go between two inputs using the buttons on the decimator without any break in signal to the output.

A: No. That would not be recommended, as this is not wired like a proper switcher and you will more than likely have a break in signal when switching from one source to the other.

Q: 8. Where can I buy the mounting plate...any sort of mounting option really?

A: Mounting plates come with the DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer, when you purchase it. Mounting plates for Decimator products are unavailable separately at this time.

Q: 9. How long is the license good for ?

A: From what I can see there is no subscription as long as you have the license available you can connect a camera to it.

Q: 10. Can I output the camera shot(s) from the HDMI out (or SDI out) from the DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD to Zoom, via a Macbook Air with USB3 ports (with an HDMI to USB3 connector) or via a MacBook Pro M1 (with an HDMI to USB-C connector)? Or do I need some other device (like a Magewell USB Capture SDI Plus, One-Channel 2K Capture Device) to send the camera image(s) to zoom?

A: To have the HDMI or the 3G-SDI multiview output on the DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer captured into a computer, one must use an HDMI or 3G-SDI to USB capture device. See capture device example below: https://bhpho.to/34DuVNB
