The four hardware inputs can be routed to any of four windows, which can be resized and repositioned to any size or location as long as they comply with the following rules: The windows need to fit within the overall dimensions of the output resolution in use and only Window 1 can have other windows overlapping it. The DMON-QUAD allows you to create custom layouts that will let you resize and reposition the windows in a multi view. You can have any number of windows up to the number of inputs, in this case four. So it's straightforward to create a layout that puts two windows on screen next to each other centred vertically. A: The previous answer is incorrect. All PCIe generations are backwards compatible. Pinning from PCIe 1.0 to PCIe 4.0 are the same, differences are in clock speed and data encoding.As to your question, yes a x4 card will work fine in a x16 slot, though it's a waste of the other 12 channels (depending on motherboard).

A: Yes, you can captures 4 HD signals with the Magewell Pro Capture Quad SDI Card and reproduce all 4 signals at the same time in the multi view window of the capture or streaming software you are using.
