A: The DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer is a multi-viewer and cannot replace the Decimator MD-HX. They are very different tools.

Q: 4. Could this be used as a mini switcher? Needing to be able to go between two inputs using the buttons on the decimator without any break in signal to the output.

A: No. That would not be recommended, as this is not wired like a proper switcher and you will more than likely have a break in signal when switching from one source to the other.

A: Mounting plates come with the DECIMATOR DMON-QUAD 4-Channel 3G-SDI Multiviewer, when you purchase it. Mounting plates for Decimator products are unavailable separately at this time.

A: The Decimator DMON-Quad can be used to show any number of windows from 1-4 and the windows can be arranged in custom layouts to give you control over how they are positioned.

A: Yes it will. It will take in four HD signal and work with vMix as well.

The four hardware inputs can be routed to any of four windows, which can be resized and repositioned to any size or location as long as they comply with the following rules: The windows need to fit within the overall dimensions of the output resolution in use and only Window 1 can have other windows overlapping it.
