The Theseus 60mm f/12 AZ Refractor Telescope with Hard Caseis designed to inspire beginner astronomers with a versatile scope that can be used for celestial or terrestrial observations. The moderate aperture and focal length enable it to achieve comfortable magnifications and gathers enough light to enjoy meteor showers and resolve details on the lunar surface; or to see larger and brighter planets like Saturn, Venus, and Mars. Three eyepieces provide low, medium, and high magnifications to tailor the performance to any situation; and a convenient red-dot finder makes star-hopping navigation fast and easy. To use the Theseus as a conventional spotting scope, simply install the 1.5x erect-image Barlow lens to correct the view horizontally and vertically, while slightly increasing the magnification on any eyepiece used with it. For safe transport and storage, the Theseus comes with a hard carrying case designed to hold the scope, tripod, and all included accessories.

[60 mm] This telescope was purchased by me for two very seperate reasons. I personally want it for photograph, and I also bought it to loan to a friend for a short while to see if the daughter really' is interested in the stars and the sky. She is a very precocious 8 year old and the process of determing the depth and staying power of her interest is on going. Preliminary remarks are all very positive. My use in photography will wait a little while.
