A: Yes. The outer baffle attaches by velcro.

Q: 7. If I use this softbox with the iKan IB508-v2 Bi-Color LED Light do I need to remove the barn doors? Or can I slide on the softbox around the barndoors?

A: I would have to say YES. The B.D.s must be removed.The softbox is held in place by two vertical velcro straps, and I don't think there is enough clearance between the top and bottom doors to fit the velcro straps.I am basing this on online information about the light, and the fact I own two of the inflatable barndoors. If removing the barndoors is a quick, no-tools operation, then I'd say go for it. The eggcrate louvers are really more effective than I'd thought, and all together, I'd say getting two LED banks plus the inflatable softbox/eggcrate units save me about 1/2 if not more of my setup time!Good luck!

Q: 8. does this diffuser work with the first version of the bender?

A: It 'works' but not well. The light isn't particularly diffused. The flash bender is awesome - I can bounce a flash even under the stars: I use it ALL the time. But the diffusion is not particularly good.

I ordered this Airbox Kit to pair up with a TorchLED 220, an intense light source. Testing the unit in a dark room with white walls to judge the light's quality and throw, I noticed a significant improvement when using the AirBox.Every claim that Airbox makes in their videos was put to the test and every claim proved to be true. Very impressed with that! The throw was diffused, wide, and significantly softer. The Torch's multi-shadow cast caused by its multiple LEDs merged into one softly defined shadow. Beautiful.Needing the light for both stills and video, I tried out the Egg Crate. Light spill was well contained. While not as defined as a barn door or flag, the performance was quite efficient.Taking the Airbox out of the studio and on location, I loved its near weightless compact style. It was convenient to use and installed in 15 seconds... That's right, 15 SECONDS! I initially had a concern about the durability of the unit's straps, but Airbox assured me that they were tested and strong. I had no problems on location and really loved using it. Very cool accessory. 5

After three years of traveling with these lights for video work in small spaces, these Airbox softboxes make all the difference. No shadows or highlight reflections. These never come off my lights. I get perfect skin tones without having to adjust in post. Worth every penny. 5

Fits in the Dracast LED500 rather nicely with a tab to pull it out when you must. Wish there was more than just an Opal and 250. But this sure is convenient. No complaints. 5

Great source of soft light to diffuse a small LED. I used this soft box attached to my Generay 6800. I used it as a kicker light or a follow light for moving actors or to film quick insert shots of objects and extreme closeups to brighten up the exposure. The Generay 6800 also a great CRI above 90 is roughly 10x4 and the sides extend an inch on both sides of the soft box when inflated, but works well without even covering those two ends with some CineFoil. 5
