Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Where can I find a grid for this?

A: Eric,Let me see if I understand this correctly - you are looking for a grid for the Ezybox II 31.5 Softbox?? Look no further, just type in the model number of the Ezybox in the search bar on B&H and add the word grids . Voila! I might mention to you that I have Ezyboxes in a couple of different sizes. Because of the large lip, I've never felt it necessary to use a grid, although it might prove to be handy.B&H has everything you'll ever need when it comes to photography equipment. (Mind you, this is not a paid commercial, I'm just a big fan of B&H.) It might be a good idea for B&H to add grids to these Ezybox accessories pages. B&H are you listening?

Q: 2. Will these work with Godox SL-60 LED Video Lights?

A: This softbox can be used with the Godox SL60 by way of the Lastolite Ezybox II Speed Ring Plate for Bowens Flash Heads, BH # LASRPBEZB2 https://bhpho.to/2ZKb4aa

Q: 3. What is the dimension ?

A: The grid is 46.06 inches x 35.43 inches (117cm x 90cm).

Q: 4. Hello! Is the bracket compatible with the Quantum Qflash Model T5D-R B&H # QUQFT5DR MFR # QFT5D-R?If not, what do I need to make the Lastolite Ezybox II Switch Large (35 x 17 / 35 x 35 ) B&H # LAEZB2SLQ MFR # LL LS2730 work with my Q flash T5D-R?Thanks for your help!

A: The Ezybox II bracket is great for umbrellas, Apollo SoftBoxes as well as the switchbox for one OR two flashes! It has 2- slide-in cold shoes (or mount one in center) but no 1/4 x 20 male mount. I use an AD-360 that will mount by either a 1/4 x 20 or a cold shoe. If the Q-flash needs the threaded 1/4 mount you'd need that. The flash lays so close to umbrella's center it gives even illumination, and parabolic umbrellas up it 7' (84 - silver with diffuser cap) are light weight, cheap, quick setup, round catch lights and compact (centered on light stand instead of sticking out from it) .. compaired to a large switch box , twice as big equals 4x the softness ! You can stand in front with camera and it'll put fill light around BOTH sides of camera!! I have 2 Ezybox II brackets and plan on getting one more.Alan

Q: 5. Is this soft box compatible with the Lastolite Ezybox Hot Shoe Mark II Bracket? (B&H # LAEBHSBM2 MFR # LL LS2414)

A: no, that bracket is much too small and is made for the Ezybox Hot Shoe

Q: 6. Will two Canons 600EX attached to this bracket fit the into the sleeve in Photek Softlighter II 46 ?

A: The cold shoes on the bracket will slide to accommodate different flashes. I've used mine with Nikon's SB900, SB800, and SB600 as well as the Yungnuo flashes. You can rotate the flashes so that they are back to back and present less of a profile and they will fit.

Q: 7. Will this fit on the old Ezybox speedlite as well?

A: There was a substantial design change between the two models.

Q: 8. Please, in order to be sure for transportation (in my luggage) which are the measures to take in account? (in the Specs section are those : Packaging Info -Box Dimensions (LxWxH) 19.0 x 14.0 x 3.5" AND -Closed Size in Bag: 20 x 18 x 7.48" (51 x 46 x 19 cm) Thanks!

A: The closed size in the bag are the dimensions you would want to take into account.

Q: 9. Will this fit with my Canon 600EX-RT attached with a pocketwizard FlexTT5?

A: Frank, I am not sure about the Canon 600EX-RT as I am a Nikon user. I use my Nikon SB900 or SB910 with the FlextTT5 on the Ezybox. To do that, I setup the flash in the following manner because the front of the TT5 is too long to allow mounting the device onto the bracket. To be able to use the SB900/910 with the TT5 and with the mounting bracket and the Ezybox, I swivel the head of my flash by 180 degree so that the flash head fits inside the Ezybox and the control panel of the flash is facing the Ezybox, the Auto-Focus Illuminator panel of the SB910 is facing the the other direction. The SB910 is then mounted on the TT5 with the front (where it is written Pocketwizard) is facing backward. Then I am able to get the flash head to fit in the box and the TT5 is mounted on the bracket. Hope this helps.

Q: 10. Will this attach to a Godox S-bracket somehow?

A: You will need to use this ring to make it work. https://bhpho.to/2yuBOO2

[17 x 13 x 3.5"] I've used this both in the studio and on location with great success. It is easily mounted to a monopod for an assistant to serve as a VAL - Voice Activated Light stand, or can be hand held for fast paced shoots. Its rigid construction and light weight makes for easy handling in rapidly changing situations. The light is very diffused and even. Highly recommended!

[Yes] Extremely portable, very effective at diffusing light without losing power! Before I took the plunge investing in this softbox, I was using a Gary Fong Whaletail diffuser paired with a shoot-through umbrella - almost the same quality of light as the Ezybox, but a tremendous waste of power. With the Ezybox, I can recycle quickly even while shooting in full daylight. Although it didn't seem necessary at the time I purchased it, I would recommend the optional extender handle for the Ezybox in consideration of your assistants. Here are a few images I've shot using only the Ezybox, a reflector and small background @

[Yes] First off, it took about 2 months to get it which made me miss a few opportunities to use it. I finally got to use this in the field. It worked out great, but I don't understand why they would even sell this without the tilthead. I had to get creative with angling the stand to get the light I wanted, and it was still a compromise. Also, if you buy the $20 stand, I recommend having some weight at the base if you're outdoors. Indoors & without wind, it works great, but's a little questionable with wind when you start extending both sections. Luckily I had a flexible bag with some water for weight (bag weighed about 7-10 lbs) to hold down the leg facing the wind just in case. I usually go by myself, so I have to carry & setup all of my gear. I had 1 bag for my camera gear and 1 other with everything else, including the Ezybox & stand. It took me longer to figure out where to put it and how much power to use than it took to put it together. When I moved between locations, I just dropped the stand to it's lowest height, left the flash on it and folded the Ezybox flat. For short walks, I'd shorten the stand & leave everything intact. All in all, it's a great product for photographers on the go, but definitely get the tilthead if you want anything other than light parallel to the ground.

[Included] I was amazed at how small this thing folds up, really impressive for so much control. I like to have an assistant hand hold it, or I put it on the end of a Bogen Magic Arm mounted on a heavy duty light stand (like a C-Stand or equivalent), so I can really reach in close. My only complaint is that the included coldshoe is angled, so that it is a little tricky to turn the body of the flash (makes line-of-sight challenging sometimes).

[Yes] I use the Ezybox 24 on location for portraits. It produces a great quality of light. The included cold shoe adapter was no good for a 580EX flash, but the Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type works excellent in it's stead. Setup for me is not as quick as I have read it for others, but I completely disassemble the mount and fold up the box into its bag for storage. I mount it on an avenger stand and use weights from to anchor it. No blowovers, but the worst wind tried to unscrew the complete mount from the stud on the light stand. Very pleased with the product.

[Yes] Easy to setup and breakdown. Unlike some other products, the Ezybox lives up to its description. It is fun to use and will bump your flash photography to the next level.

[Rectangular] This is a great softbox for hotshoe flashes. It's very easy to set up, and once you put the internal baffles in, you only need to unzip two sides to fold it back up. Makes reassemble quick and easy.
