It reduces exposure by 4-stops without adding any color cast. The soft edges of the dense area of the filter blend the exposure correction smoothly without a harsh line of delineation.

This filter is made of optical glass, it is multicoated to reduce flare and to optimize resolution and color transmission. It features a waterproof coating to prevnet beading and for easy cleaning. It fits filter holders that accept 150mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, do you know if I could couple this filter on the Freewell quick swap system? I have the Freewell magnetic filter kit but they discontinued their revers grad filter.

A: Although both systems are magnetic, they have not been tested with one another to our knowledge. Your results may vary.

Q: 2. Do these filters have the foam at the back to block light like the Lee big and little stopper filters? Will they fit in the Lee filter holder?

A: Yes a foam gasket is on the back of this filter and it will fit the Lee 100mm holders.

Q: 3. Is this filter safe for photographing a Solar Eclipse?

A: The Haida NanoPro ND5.0 Filter (95mm, 16.5 Stop) is unsafe for photographing a Solar Eclipse. The filter does not block UV or IR light. Instead, get the MrStarGuy 95mm Thread-in White-Light Solar Filter, BH #STSG95MMSOL.

Q: 6. What is the difference between the NanoPro and the Red Diamond lines of Haida filters?

Q: 7. Does this item have uv/ir filtering?

A: The Haida NanoPro Solar Neutral Density Filter (95mm, 20-Stop) does not block UV and IR light. Instead, get the MrStarGuy 95mm Thread-in White-Light Solar Filter, BH #STSG95MMSOL. This filter blocks UV and IR light.

Q: 8. Why is this filter Red?

A: The filters are coated on both side and at certain angles, the filter surfaces reflect certain colors. However, the light going through the filter and the lens is not this color but a neutral one. There will be no adverse affect on your image.

[8 x 6.7 x 0.8"] Great filter! It works better than others. Does not add another color to the photo.

[0.75 lb] I decided on a circular filter, due to the ease and speed of assembly, I also found in the Haida brand an excellent quality glass, a very high control of certain color dominances, compared to much more expensive filters.
I wanted to buy polar pro, but the cost is high compared to this one, and although there are differences, it is not something that makes me consider investing so much money in a glass that will not be put every day in my lenses. As a bonus, I have taken the Haida to very extreme tests in the Chilean heathen, in the cold and in the Atacama desert, in the heat and dust.
I recommend it

[0.75 lb] Excellent 10 stop ND filter. No discernible color cast needing to be corrected for in post. Has so far been an overall pleasure with which to work.
