Capture brilliant images at depths as great as 200' with your Nikon D810 DSLR in Ikelite's 200DL Underwater Housing, which features their Dry Lock Port Mount and vacuum valve. An Ikelite bulkhead with a manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional external strobes via sync cords. Using an optional TTL hot shoe and the #4301.3 Nikon TTL Converter will allow for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only.

Ergonomic mechanical controls, including push-buttons, dials, and levers, afford access to most camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend. It is white on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. The supplied aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip affords improved balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm.

The housing ships without a required lens port, and accepts various, interchangeable dome and flat ports for a broad array of lenses. For full compatibility details, see the port chart. The DL port system accommodates lenses with large diameters, and provides added security against leaks at the surface, thanks in large part to the included vacuum valve for checking watertight integrity before the dive. You'll need to pick up the required pump in order to remove excess air and actually create a vacuum.

  • You can remove the Supereye quickly if you'd like to attach the optional Straight or 45° Magnified Viewfinder instead
  • Hard-anodized aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip affords improved balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm
  • Optional right-hand grip can be added easily

[4.9 lb / 2.2 kg] Let me start with a simple summary, I love it, and it's worth the investment.
I used it a lot for several years, but nowadays, I'm taking a break from underwater photography because I relocated, and I am still trying to find opportunities to apply this type of photography in the new area. Yes, it's heavy, but once you are in the water, this minor disadvantage becomes invisible, or better said, unnoticeable.
When I did my first underwater photoshoot in the sea, I was scared, and the question, What if... was constantly creating new horrifying scenarios, like What if I didn't close it good enough, What if there is a tiny crack and the water gets inside, What if I'm not able to focus correctly None of this scenarios became true, lucky me, and it also proves good quality product.
After several intense photo sessions, I noticed a small crack in the focus lever, so I contacted the support team. The communication was fast and productive; they sent me a replacement almost immediately and didn't charge me anything. Considering my location at that time (Cancun, MX) I was amazed at how fast I got the package with the new lever. I replaced it easily and never had issues after.
Learning to focus underwater will take time, but all good takes time, right?! Mounting it all together usually took me 15-20 min as I double-checked every lock. I used it with Nikon D750 and 16-35 Nikkor lens.
The quality of the photos is excellent, especially when the water is clear.
Hopefully, I'll have a chance soon to enjoy more of underwater photography.

[200' / 60 m] Probably the best housing for my Cannon R5 EVER!

[7.05 lb] I bought this about a year ago to do some underwater photography in Barbados. The housing worked great with my D850 with a 28mm Nikkor prime. Make sure to carefully follow the directions prior to use and cleaning after use. It will float, so you may want to add weights to make it less buoyant. I used it for snorkeling, which made it hard to dive down with it. If you added a little weight, it would be much better. Also make sure to get as many settings set before putting the housing on, as it is more difficult to monkey with it once youre in the ocean.

[200' / 60 m] Works great. Little trouble with on and off, but battery life is good enough on the camera to let it run.

[7.05 lb] Until I got this housing, I've been using a less-expensive competitor's flexible housing. It worked fine, but I was shooting with my older Canon 5D Mk IV, because I didn't trust that housing with my new R5. This new Ikelite housing provides a real sense of confidence that there will be no leaks, so I trust it with the more expensive, newer camera. The better sensor, lens and focusing speed of the R5, along with the positive control and clear display of the 200DL housing, makes the combination a whole new level of quality. My ratio of usable shots has quadrupled with this combo, making my time underwater much more efficient. The dual handles, trigger extensions, and large, clear back cover make the 200DL easy to handle and predictable to shoot with. Very happy with this purchase.

[4.9 lb / 2.2 kg] The buttons, wheels and levers seem a bit much when you take it out of the box. BUT when you load your camera and lens (D780 Nikon for me) the buttons, wheels and levers are all intuitive and right where they're supposed to be. A couple of the levers or triggers are used for the shutter, AF, etc. BUT they are also pretty intuitive for diving.

Two things I suggest that they should just sell with the kit.
1) the vacuum pump should come standard. The peace of mind it gives is worth every penny.

2) you're going to need the optional weight arm. This rig with an extension and the large dome is not a little buoyant it is very buoyant. I added the weight holder arm with 2lbs for fresh water and get a great natural buoyancy.
