[Ceiling] There was some concern that the screen would not get here in time for an event. After contacting the customer service they assisted in getting a tracking confirmation. It arrived in the nick of time.


I was surprised that the model had some features to the leg structure that we were not expecting. It made it very stable and user friendly.

[Scenic Roller] Screen is being used in a 40 x 40 foot room with a 7.2 theater system. The projection screen is over the stage and is long enough to extend down and up out of the way when not in use. If the light were not in the way, I could have moved the screen even higher.

[Scenic Roller] We purchased the Screen and the matching base. Easy to deploy, and rock solid. We used it under a canopy, for an interactive (laser based) Simulator, at a Senior Management Industry Conference. It is definitely a Professional grade tool - and was a key component of a successful exhibit. We did not expect to pay so much for the screen and base, not to mention the huge shipment costs - BUT, it was well worth the investment. The screen (and the base) are sturdy and we expect that it will provide years of service.

[575 lb] Well packaged. Easy to assemble. System tensions screen perfectly for a no-sag presentation.

[Ceiling] I use the Da-Lite Floor Model C on a stage for school presentations. It provides a quality solution where other screen mounting options ate not available. The screen is well supported and flat for a great presentation. The 9'x9' screen size is not excessively heavy or unwieldily to store.

[288 x 14 x 11"] I use it in a classroom at a university. It's got a great surface, brilliant white, big and more than I expected. It looks like a big LCD screen on the wall, way cool.

[288 x 14 x 11"] We used the screen at our annual and special town meeting and found that it was better than anticipated. the powerpoints were projected so all could see no matter where they sat at our meeting. I couldn't be happier and worth the price.

[Ceiling] This is my fourth ALR (ambient light reflecting) screen.

The first thing to know is, there are no miracle screens. There are good ALR screens, but none perform miracles. Even the best don't show a great picture in a really bright room. The second thing to know is, don't necessarily believe the promotional pictures and videos from manufacturers that show amazing screen performance. They have positioned the screens, projectors and cameras to show the screens at their very best. You are unlikely to duplicate this in a real world situation.

Almost all ALR screens have, to one extent or another, a major problem – screen artifacts. Shimmering, hot spots, sparkles, grainy appearance and so on. In order to eliminate this problem I have owned four different screens. My newest one, which wasn't available when I first started my quest for better picture quality, the Da-Lite Parallax, has none of these problems. Zero!

The Parallax probably doesn't have quite as good of ambient light rejection properties as some of the other screens, but with some light control and careful placement of light sources, you can still have light in the room and a great picture.

A great artifact free picture is really important now that we have 4K material to watch.
