Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work using the sub1/2 output from my zoom f8 into the transmitter? I want to create a portable headphone feed from my mixer

A: Yes, it would. The sub1/2 output is a consumer line level output, which is identical to a headphone jack. The SilentPA transmitter has a 1/8 TRS input on the side of it, and you can plug the output into it. It is however, VERY hot and you'll have to have the volume knob on the transmitter all the way down. I set the sub 1/2 output to mic level to make it easier.

Q: 2. Are these compatible with ClearCom?

A: This beltpack is made specifically for the PortaCom system. so it would not be compatible with ClearCom equipment.

Q: 3. Hi guys, I would like to know if these transmitters came with the Lectrosonics SMDWBBCSL Spring-Loaded Metal Belt Clip Kit (Antenna Up or Down) or I have to buy them separated. Thanks for the support

A: Please call customer service at 800-821-1121

Q: 4. What is the expected runtime for the SMDWB on Eneloop Pro 2450s and Energizer Lithium (the data sheet only shows Alkaline, which seems possibly incorrect)?

A: The battery run time for the Lectrosonics SMDWB with AA lithium, disposable batteries is. At 50 mW (2 x AA): 14.5 hours and at 100 mW (2 x AA): 14 hours.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Rode wireless GO II receiver?

A: The Sennheiser XS Lav Mobile Lapel Mic (TRRS Connection) is intended for use with smartphones so it is not compatible with the input on the transmitter if used by itself, but you can use it together with the Rode SC3 3.5mm TRRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRS Male Adapter Cable (B&H # ROSC3) to convert the mic's 3.5mm plug from TRRS to TRS which will enable compatibility with the 3.5mm TRS mic input on the Rode Wireless GO II Transmitter. The 3.5mm TRRS connector on the XS Lav is a universal connector used for mobile devices.

Q: 6. Would this work using the sub1/2 output from a zoom f8 recorder into this reciever? I want to create a portable headphone feed from my mixer

A: This system would be a good choice to create a wireless headphone feed for the Zoom F8 recorder.

Q: 7. Is the blue cable included? This set contains set BH#SEWXSPLSTR?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser XSW-D Portable Lav Mobile Kit with Transmitter, Receiver, Lapel Mic, Mounts & Manfrotto PIXI Tabletop Stand does include the blue cable. There are two cables included with this kit. One is a locking 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS coiled cable, and the other is a locking 3.5mm TRS to 3,5mm TRRS coiled cable.

Q: 8. Can the blue TRS to TRRS cable be purchased separately?

A: Here is a link to the standalone product page for that cable. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1629643-REG/sennheiser_508908_cl_35_trrs_locking.html

Q: 9. Can it be used for Zoom calls on Android device with wired headphones connected via mini jack?

A: No. It has USB C connector: Sennheiser XS Lav USB-C Lapel Mic (Computers & Mobile Devices with USB-C Ports)

Q: 10. Do these work with the stock DR-10L lavalier?

A: No, the Auray Lav Mic Tie Clips for the Sony ECM-77 will not work for the Tascam TM-10L lavalier microphone included with the DR-10L recorder. This clip is specifically for the ECM-77 which is a different size. For the TM-10L, you can use the Auray Tie Clip for Pearstone OLM2, Senal OLM2, Sennheiser ME2, and Sony UWP-V Lavalier Mics - Pack of 5 (B&H # AUTCOLM25) which is the same type of clip in a compatible size for the TM-10L.

[130 dB SPL] These clips are small and effective, as well as very useful for holding the Lav Mic and forgetting the mic during its use.

[Bodypack] Handheld transmitter is used with my megavox speaker system and the frequencies all match and works perfectly.

[Black] I’ve been a staunch supporter of the sm series for years, and this is a great upgrade from the classic small body unit. The menu functionality is easy and faster than the old one, and the recorder function is awesome for super long or wide shots. Battery life is comparable to the old sm. Can’t wait to add more to my kit!

[50 Hz to 18 kHz] I bought this transmitter to replace one I lost many years ago. It is works like it always did even with the older receiver. A good fit for my Panasonic TM900. This little set up is right for the price. You can spend a lot more for the same results as the Azden. I don't know what took me so long to replace it.

[Bodypack] Industry standard transmitter for remote location work. Paired with the 822 you probably won't need remote antennas.

[Mono] What can I say? They are solid and work fine. They were intended for different mics than mine, but they work just fine anyway!

[+5 V] Clean sound and easy to use. Does what it says it does.

[2] I purchased the Azden Mic & Transmitter as an economical way to get better audio from wedding videos and, for the price, the system exceeded my expectations. It tested well at up to 150' as long as there were no obstructions. It is not broadcast grade sound quality, but it was certainly a vast improvement over the camera's onboard shotgun mic. In fact, after hearing the results of the first one, I bought another mic for my second camera. The very minor drawback is that the mic feels somewhat flimsy. I don't imagine it will take a lot of abuse. Also, there are only two channels. But if your needs are not complicated this unit is an inexpensive solution.

[-20 dB (Max)] I use this product mostly for getting the table toasts at weddings, and for that it works great. I'm right up close so range isn't an issue, but things move so fast it would be impossible with either a wired mic or a lav. This gets the job done perfectly.

[7 x 5.5 x 3.3"] Perfect replacement, I haven't noticed a difference yet.
