Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi, can I get.6x7 coverage on a Fuji GFX50r (with adapter)?

A: The maximum film format for the Rodenstock 75mm f/4 APO-Rodagon D Enlarging Lens is 6 x 6 cm. With the FUJIFILM GFX 50R Medium Format Mirrorless Camera having a sensor size of 43.8 x 32.9mm, there is no way to get full 6 x 7 cm reproduction with this combination.

Q: 2. Is this lens made in China?

A: Country of origin at this time is Sweden.

Q: 3. Can you use magnetic strips to keep the paper flat?

A: yes, one can use magnetic strips on the Beseler 16x20" Borderless Enlarging Easel to keep the paper flat.

Q: 4. What are the dimensions (L x W) of this product? I need to make sure it will fit on my 17.5" baseboard.

A: The Beseler 11x14 enlarger measures 17 3/4" by 23 3/8".

Q: 5. Do you use this with fiber paper? How's it handle the curl?

A: This can be used with fiber paper, which would only curl if moisture is introduced to the paper, such as when it's been developed.

Q: 6. What size Beseler lens do I need to enlarge to 11 x 14" BW prints?

A: The question would depend on the size of the negative you will be using to create the print, not the print size you wish to make. The height of your enlarger head will determine the size of the print you may create. Ideally, your enlarging lens' focal length should be equal to or greater than the diagonal of your film format measured in millimeters. (Back to high school math, you have to find the hypotenuse of your film; that a² + b² = c² equation, solving for c.) As an example, a 35mm negative measures 36x24mm in size. As such, the hypotenuse would be 43.27mm. So a 50mm enlarging lens (the next popular lens size above 43mm) would cover the full 35mm negative. For 120 6x4.5cm negatives, a 75mm lens (or larger) would be recommended. For 120 6x7cm negatives, a 105mm lens (or larger) would be recommended. An enlarging lens that is smaller than the diagonal of your film will allow you to crop in to a smaller area on your negative.

Q: 7. Will this work on the beseler 67 dichro (color) enlarger for medium format negatives?

A: For 6 x 6 negatives, you need a 75mm lens with this enlarger. To answer your question. yes, it will work.

Q: 8. Is it new easel? or pre-owned?

A: Beseler 16x20" Universal 4-Bladed Enlarging Easel is a new easel.

Q: 9. Will it work for Beseler Printmaker 67 (Black and White)? What other accessories do I need to make it works for Beseler Printmaker 67?

A: Yes, it will work with the Printmaker 67. You will also need a lens board, click the link below to view; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/15666-REG/Delta_13315_Bes_Board_2_5_8_X2_5_8_Lens_Board.html

Q: 10. At what focal length (35-75) does the lens Change to F4.5?

A: It starts to change approximately 1/3 of the way toward the long end of the focal length. Note f3.5-4.5 is not that large a difference in most uses.

[75mm] Very nicely made. Some prefer the Saunders easel, but this one is good enough for me. I lucked out and obtained a demo at a fraction of the going price. (It's painted black) It's a sturdy easel; excellent construction. This is very good to have with Omega E and D5 enlargers. Printing on the baseboard is problematic. Just the ticket for printing 6x12 and 6x17 negatives, where 24 length makes a respectable print.

[75mm] This design is ideal for holding a variety of materials that I use for making prints. In addition to traditional photographic paper, I use it to position thicker materials, such as sensitized clayboard, wood, metal, glass, etc. Clean design, sturdy. Ideally the capture nuts for the adjustment screws would somehow be such that they do not rotate; however, it works well if you simply lift the knob as you loosen/tighten them.

[0.525 lb] No problems with this easel. It is well made, easy to adjust and the blades are very square. I also like the design of the paper slots, which hold the paper very securely. Highly recommended!

[75mm] This easel is easy to adjust, and makes absolutely amazing borderless prints. Suitable for use with 8x10 as well as 5x7 paper!

The easel sits sturdily on the baseboard and does not slip or move around on its own. If you like borderless prints, this is definitely a great purchase!

[75mm] I use one of these under my favorite enlarger: a beseler 45mxt with an aristo cold light head. I prefer it to my saunders, it is a better, easier to use product in my opinion. The only thing thats bad about it is that it has little slots on the base of it (not the ones that the paper go into) which can make focusing a bit of a pain, but it is a great easel otherwise!
