Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What basic accessories is required for a Nikon D810?

A: One would need the following pieces to mount the Nikon D810 DSLR Camera to the Cambo ACTUS-G View Camera Body. The Cambo AC-78E Bayonet Holder, BH #CAOBHDSLR (https://bhpho.to/3bHOVlW). And the Cambo AC-783 ACTUS Bayonet Kit for Nikon F Mount Body, BH #CABKNF (https://bhpho.to/3bzle6k). These 2 pieces would allow one to mount the camera on the ACTUS-G. This is only on the camera side, on the lens side it will vary based on what lens you wish to use.

Q: 2. Can the SLW-80 interface be mounted in both portrait and landscape orientation?

A: Yes. Once you mount your Hasselblad back to the SLW-80, the interface plate can be mounted on the WRC-400 in either portrait or landscape.

Q: 3. I see a Canon Tilt Shift lens being used on this Cambo WRS. How would I achieve this?

A: In order to use Canon lenses you will need 2 things:1) A digital back with electronic shutter capabilities, such as the Phase One IQ3-100.2) The WRE-CA Lensplate adaptor attached to this answer. A few things to note however:Even though they will mount, some lenses do not have enough image circle to cover the full sensor size of medium format digital systemsSome Canon lenses also are focus by wire and will not allow for the lens to focus when not connected to a Canon body. The 17mm and 24mm TS-E lenses are able to be controlled, focused, and have an image circle large enough to cover the sensor.

Q: 4. When using a digital back with this camera, how is an exposure made? Is the digital camera set to bulb mode for instance?

A: You can with the correct adapter use different backs on the Cambo WRC-400 Technical Camera. As for exposure it will depend on the back and the shot as to the setting you need to set it to.

Q: 5. Does this control autofocus? Aperture control?

A: It does not control auto focus (the TS-E lenses that are most suitable to use with this adapter does not have AF anyway. It does control aperture.

Q: 6. Is there a lensplate option for using Contax 645 lenses?

A: Unfortunately no, the Cambo ACTUS-MV View Camera Body has no options for use with a Contax 645 camera and lens.

Q: 7. Is it compatible with 907x camera and can i use off camera flashes with a Canon TS-E mounted on the 907x with this adapter?

A: Yes it is compatible . Off camera flashes can't be used

Q: 8. What’s the difference between Actus-B and Actus-G?

A: The both versions can be used with a DSLR or Mirrorless camera but the G version can also be used with a digital back.

Q: 9. Does this come with a lens?

A: The camera is shipped body only. Lenses are sold separately. However it is compatible with the entire line of WRS mounted lenses in both standard and tilt/swing varieties.

Q: 10. Will the DB2 work with a SINAR S30|45 back?

A: No, The DB2 does not interface with the S30|45 back.

[2 lb / 920 g] Overall, it's just simple handgrip for grip-less camera, WRC. Works fine as it should be. But bit of surprise, the picture on B&H is outdated.

[2 lb / 920 g] I fiddled with tilt shift lenses for some time and was never completely happy with their performance. The Cambo Actus-G (BH# CAAGCBBK) is a much more flexible solution and is only a bit more expensive than some of the tilt-shift lenses. Of course you do need to buy a suitable lens with a large image circle. I'm using this with a Nikon F mount camera and a Mamiya RZ lens adapter. I already had the Mamiya lenses so it was a no brainer. It did take a bit of time to figure out exactly what other items were needed but essentially You'll need 3 other pieces besides the body. The lens plate. I suggest a medium format lens like the Mamiya RB/RZ lenses. BH# CALPMRBRZB, The camera bayonet holder (Cambo AC-78E) BH# CAOBHDSLR and the camera bayonet plate BH# CABKNF. This is a very flexible system and using the bayonet holder (AC-78E) you can get different plates for about $70 so I could add in a mirrorless body just with a new bayonet plate. I don't know if it's by accident or intentionally but the Actus-G molded packaging fits perfectly inside a Pelican 1300 case - BONUS!
This will also focus to infinity so it works fine for architecture as well as tilting or swinging the focal plane for product photography.

[2 lb / 920 g] Added a lot of reach to my shorter / smaller pre-cambo version of the redwing. It does take a little filing and drilling to get this to fit on the older redwings before cambo since they attach a bit differently - but it will work great once the work is complete.

[4.2 lb] The Cap delivered is a plastic cap, it is well designed and manufactured as expected from Cambo. I do like the older models aesthetics.

[2 lb / 920 g] Absolutely love this piece of Cambo equipment... They've gone through this design from top to bottom and have created a platform that is essentially a genius solution to having the ultimate digital view camera for those of us who require such a technical approach to creating images. The build quality and precision are top notch - everything feels very well machined and well assembled. The multiple lens plates for lens manufactures such as Mamiya, Pentax, Hasselblad, Leica and their very own Actar series of lenses allows you to have many options when it comes to lenses.

At first, this system can be confusing with what lenses will work with what body or digital back, but once you get familiar with their lens chart, it starts to make sense as to what can be used. The lens chart, listed below, gives all the data necessary to make informed decisions. I will say, with Pentax 645 glass, the latest HD DFA lenses are made specifically for Pentax's digital medium format bodies, which require a much smaller image circle than Pentax's 645 film format. So the A and FA Pentax lenses are a better option if you require shifting/rise/fall movements.

All in all, I would highly recommend this system. If you need rear standard movements, Cambo has even more in depth models known as the Actus MV and Actus XL, which in my mind seems better suited for studio and product photography. Personally, I use this system for interior design and architectural photography and I must say: it's working better than any T/S lens - and I own and use some phenomenal T/S lenses, i.e., the 19mm, 24mm, 45mm and 85mm PC-e lenses from Nikon; these are outstanding lenses, but the Cambo allows me more freedom of movement, so this is why I made the switch from a pair Nikon D-850 bodies and said T/S lenses. Freedom!!!!! (of movement).

[4.2 lb] I am a photographer with a broad range of interests from landscapes to table top work. I bought a Wista 45SP in the early 1980s to replace my SinarP. It has performed admirably, it is rigid in design and precise in it shifts, tilts and drops. Front and rear standards are strong enough for the heaviest of lenses. It is durable and light enough for short overland journeys. It uses the universal Linhof/Wista lens boards and accepts extension rails and extended bellows. Wista makes superb cameras that meet the demands of all my work.

[2 lb / 920 g] Fits the camera and lens mounts very tight with no play. Quality engineering. My only gripe in the pin used for removing the lens. Wish it was a button.

Other than that it beats the Hasselblad version I purchased and returned because of the sloppy craftsmanship.

[4.2 lb] It shows great image quality, all sharp except at f4, f22, in between is excellent. A picture below taken with D850, the 90mm lens tilted with a proper DOF to show every detail, directional or circular, very impressed.

[4.2 lb] I got this as a replacement for my generic 4x4 matte box. This fits perfectly into the cold-shoe slot on the top of the matte box. Fits any cold shoe/hot shoe mount. Good build quality (all aluminum) nicely machined. I'd buy again.
