[Gold Mount] Even though it seems to be of a design that may fail, I have used it non-stop for two years of Production Sound for double system film sound recording and it has worked perfectly. I actually bought two of them in case one failed, but so far I have only used one. It is much better than the one made by Sound Devices, because it has a lower profile when fitted with an XL-B3 battery pack. A professional will pay attention to what they are doing when inserting and removing this, and will never have problems!

[Gold Mount] Overall, I'm impressed with the battery bracket. It holds my micro IDX batteries very nicely on the SmallHD Cine18. Slot 1 slides perfectly, slot 2 needs the release pin pushed to put on the battery. I'm not sure why it doesn't work as well as slot 1. Very little play in the bracket and it is well built. I use a Paramount VESA bracket on the back and the battery bracket doesn't interfere with the mini V-Mounts. However the larger IDX-198's I have couldn't mount with the Paramount VESA as it it gets in the way. It's fine, I'll just use the mini's for the monitor. Another thing to mention is the voltage of the IDX mini is displayed on the Cine18 but the minute runtime isn't. My RED can read the battery, I'm not sure why the monitor cannot. Overall, this might as well ship with the monitor. For on-location work, it's a must have.

[Gold Mount] This plate is amazing - I recommend to every SmallHD Cine13 (and up) owner I know. I love that it removes cables from the back of the monitor and leaves the XLR power open for block battery or AC power. I love that it passes power backwards to Teradeks or other gold mount accessories - so with a battery on one side and my Teradek on the other, I don't need a power cable for the Teradek - it receives power through the plate. Fantastic.

The only small thing is that there is a little gap between the battery plate and the monitor, so it can shift side to side a bit. I worry that this will be the cause of its failure in the future.

Other than that - perfect plate. Must have.

[14 V] I was looking for a small, low profile power system to power my Sony A7Sii, monitor, follow focus and wireless transmitter. I bought this with the Hawk-Woods 98Wh and 150Wh Mini V-Mount batteries. Since the plate comes with 4 built in D-Tap receptacles I am able to have one small but powerful battery source for everything. The plate also takes my full size V-Mount batteries should I need them in.

[14 V] This is NOT Velcro! Its one strip and it sticks to itself when you press the pieces together. The glue on the back is quite strong. The teeth on the strip are deeper than Velcro.

The material is very stiff, suitable for holding items of moderate weight. If you want to hold light wires together, use something else.

I will probably want more of this.

[14 V] Honestly I just got it and I'm positively shocked at what a great idea this type of rigging is and how well it seeems to take weight. I've got Hytron batteries on it which are INCREDIBLY heavy and while I wouldn't recommend doing it too much just knowing it can take it in a pinch is great. Great build quality. A idea, A execution

[14 V] Velcro works, but dual -lock is much more stable. I trust it with objects like a Teredek.

[14 V] An absolute essential for anyone who has a Smallhd 4k Production Monitor. It allows for a seamless flexibility using battery power, such as V mount. Another positive is the integration for the Teradek receiver if you have the male and female battery plates. It’s a great product. Highly recommended.

[14 V] This should be the standard battery sled for the Mixpre ii. I don't know what Sound Device is thinking when they design the AA battery sled. Huge design failure!. Keep falling and never securely locks.

I like this sled better (Sound Device has one too). And when using it with Sony NP-F7XX, it last up 8+ hours (4 times longer than AA battery), and I'm sure it will last up to 12 hour (6 times longer) when using Sony NP-F9XX.

The only cons is it's super thight. Don't use it if you plan to remove the sled very often. I suggest use USB-C port for file transfer when using this.

[1.47 lb] Using this with the Atomos Shinobi 7 and 3 different Gold mount batteries. Build quality is great and the batteries latch in nicely. Just plug in the cable before sliding the receiver plate onto the back of the monitor.

The 3 batteries I am using with this - Indi Pro Tools Micro-Series 98W,
Core SWX Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh, and an official Anton Bauer Digital Series 90 Gold Mount Battery 87Wh.
