A: Best is subjective term. The EF 14mm lens was designed for a full frame sensor and thus gives the full ultra-wide angle of view when used with a full frame sensor. On an APS-C sensor you will still reap the benefits of a very high quality Canon prime L lens except that it will not be quite as wide. It will behave more like a 22-23mm lens would on a full frame sensor. Of course, there are some Canon EF-S zoom lenses such as the EF-S 10-22mm or the newer EF-S 10-18mm lenses that will provide a wider angle of view on an APS-C sensor than the 14mm lens will, but they will not offer a f/2.8 maximum aperture, nor are they optically in quite the same league as the L series prime lenses.

[1.2 lb] I've been trying to find a good case for my NiSi S5 kit and filters that would at the same time be lighter and more ergonomic than the leather case it came in but also give enough protection for me to put this in a day pack and take the filters with me without worrying they're going to break. I think this Benro case fits the bill nicely. I can fit my filter holder, CPL, 4 filters, and some extras like a lens cloth all inside. Works great so far. 5

[1.2 lb] I use this lens mainly for landscape pictures and it is unmatched in taking dramatic vista type of photos. The lens takes a bit of getting use to since it is so wide, but it's by far my favorite landscape lens. It's somewhat of a niche lens, but it's a great niche! 5
