According to Canon USA's website, the Canon CarePAK PLUS is valid for sale exclusively within the USA, limited to the 50 states and District of Columbia. All registered users must reside within the 50 States or District of Columbia. Any damage that occurs outside of the USA is fully covered but the damaged product must be returned to a Canon USA factory service location.

[1-Year ] The rollers on my old fi-3160 finally after 15 years became gummy bears. Figured it was time to get a new scanner. The 8170 looked very similar to the old 3160 but boasted a lightning fast PPM rate. Set up was pretty straight forward once I figured out that for some reason I could not make Scandall Pro work with the 8170, although it worked well with the old scanner. For lack of any other option, I tried out PaperStream Click Scan that came with the new scanner. Turns out it is much easier to get the options you want than Scandall and a much easier interface by a wide margin. Great piece of office equipment and software. 5

It offers a range of features that make it suitable for various applications, including inspection mapping for our Contruction business. B&H Photo Video is a great place to purchase electronics. [Additional] An unusual way to obtain an extended warranty, but it works. Hopefully, will never have to use it! APS seems to be customer oriented. 5
