Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this beanbag flatten down at all for travel when empty of bean/hull filling?

A: Yes, the LensCoat LensSack Pro Jr Beanbag Support does flatten down when empty.

Q: 2. Shooting from a Silverado pickup with a Nikon D810 and a Sigma Sport 150-600mm lens, would the Pro or the Jr. be a better choice?

A: The jr. works fine w/ my 400 mm lens and small car. But I'd say the Pro would be better for your lens and bigger vehicle.

Q: 3. Thinking about using this on top of a foam apple box to stabilize a shoulder rig camera for long shots on a reality tv shoot as well as use it as a pad for sitting on the apple box, is this comfortable to sit on when filled with polybeads?

A: While comfort is subjective and may differ from person to person, the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support (Black) would be compatible for your stated usage needs and should be relatively comfortable.

Q: 4. What is the best type of head to put on this? I initially thought of using some type of Gimbal head, but a salesman recommended a Sirui pan and tilt head. Any recommendations?

A: It depends on the type of shooting. If your doing video as well as photo, then a pan and tilt head or gimbal would be good, if your just shooting photo a ball head would work well.

Q: 5. What about sewing quality and quality of materials? Does sewing damage with time?

A: We cannot say how long this will last as there are way too many variables on how one uses it. But LensCoat makes a good product and is a good company.

Q: 6. Was wondering based on the comment about the top buckle if one could add a strap between the D-rings on one side to pull it up to it's "standing" position. any ideas from owners?

A: Yes, that should work as you describe above.

Q: 7. What do you fill camera beam bags with

A: You can use a variaty of options to fill your LensCoat LenSack Beanbag Camera Support. You can use from dry beans, rice, soil or sand.

Q: 8. What quantity of poly pellets would be good to go with this?

A: Fill to the desired level of support. The quantity may vary.

Q: 9. How many pounds of rice, beans, etc., are needed to fill up the beanbag?

A: Weight will depend on the material you are using but the LensCoat LenSack Beanbag Camera Support will hold 0.971 gallon (3.675 liters) of the material.

Q: 10. Is the strap long enough to wrap around the lens effectively attaching it so it can be moved with the lens?

A: Generally, the strap in the center of the LensCoat LensSack Beanbag Camera Support would not need to be wrapped around the lens in order to support it. The lens would simply rest on the Beanbag for support. Whether the strap is long enough to wrap around the lens would depend on the lens being used with it.

[Camouflage] Mice trashed my much larger and bulkier beanbag and I found this smaller more portable replacement. This one works great folded over the car window. The rubbery, textured bottom clings to the window and door better than my previous one. The Junior is larger enough for my Olympus E-M1 MkIII with the

[Cordura] Perfect for telephoto shot with a heavy lens off a car door. It takes 3lbs of pinto beans to fill it. The price was fantastic, about $25 delivered.

[Zipper] Works with even my Sony a1 and 200-600. it keeps everything secure on my center console. Also makes a great right arm rest! I filled mine with sunflower hearts (seeds). The sticky rubber on the bottom of the pad really helps keep it from moving.

Works well over the window as a lens rest.

I definitely did NOT need the larger size.
